  1. What are yor numbers with this? i don´t see it...
  2. I´m not agree with that. Still needs drops under 30 % every week WW during at least 4-5 weeks more.
  3. If continues dropping an average of 30% weelly WW that will take over 450 M more, not enough to pass Titanic so it still needs some more epic drops from now...
  4. + 60 % !!!! really astonishing, this bump is from another age, many many years ago!!
  5. Movies that grossed an amount of money in is farthest day since its release : (only wide releases, MBFGW has the records for 3, 2 and 1 million) 100 M Endgame Day 2 50 M Endgame Day 9 40 M Endgame Day 10 30 M TFA Day 16 20 M Avatar Day 23 15 M Avatar Day 37 10 M Titanic Day 58 5 M Titanic Day 107 3 M Titanic Day 121 2 M Titanic Day 135 1 M E.T. Day 212
  6. Of course it is and i also agree with TGM the most impressive run since Avatar. It´s gonna be very exciting how it hold from now, it looks like 650 + let´s see how far goes...
  7. I think we are forgetting easily how impressive TGM run was. It´s the leggiest movie alltime in movies with opening weekends over 65 M except Avatar 1. This is somthing really important and i think we should measure A2 vs TGM for weekly gross, and will be hard, very hard for A2 to mantain these incredibly weekly drops that TGM did for a lot of weeks, let´s see what happens but i think it won´t be easy at all for A2 to beat TGM.
  8. Thanks for the answer, i should say a movie in the 21st Century, of course in the 80´s the thing was different, and also Knew about NBFGW, i was curious about another movie apart this in the 21 st Century, but anyway thanks.
  9. I´m seeing now the run of TGS and i´m remembering that made more money in its 6th weekend than first, really amazing. Anyone knows another move that did something like this?
  10. Avatar 2 is the second movie in DOM history that goes over 100 M for the first 3 weeks. The first and the only until yesterday was TFA.
  11. Spanish affairs!! hahaha, what a nasty translation!
  12. I think is a bit low the average price for ticket. 21M x 3.2 M admits is less than 7 euro per ticket, i think is too cheap, i don´t say that the info is not correct, but this average price seems wrong.. i live in Spain and feel prices are higher than this.
  13. It´s very nice to see european theatres having great business. France, Germany, and especially Italy which was terribly depresed market and my country Spain, going to numbers pre pandemic, also UK it seems is going up. far beyond the final gross is the feeling that going to movies is not dead yet here.
  14. In what are you based to make this opinion? I think Titanic is an out of time success and in my opinion will be the same or even bigger success now with more developed markets worldwide.
  15. Yeah, that´s right, it only needs an international appeal (which is not so easy) to go over 500 M admits. i think market can also grow a lot is Indonesia, it has a population of 275 M and it seems that its theter industry is developing and going bigger soon, so with markets like this, we´ll see not so far going beyond 500 M and more.
  16. I´m agree with this, but they didn´t do it in the 80´s or 90´s when ther wasn´t this problem....
  17. Yeah, i felt this when i saw the movie, what a disgrace to make a new star wars movie being alive the main trio and not be the role leaders of the movie, instead these boys with few charm. And also kill Han Solo!!! what a gigantic and stupid mistake... With these 3, for sure would be up to 1 B, maybe 1.1....but disney is expert in making these kind of things...such a pity.
  18. I always have thought something like this, it´s strange that a country like USA doesn´t count admissions...
  19. of course, the best of all of them, Back to the future. Zemeckis have repeteadly said that while they are alive no sequel or reboot will be made, what is something really nice in my opinion, to keep the essence of the original trilogy. But for sure when they will die, for sure Universal won´t respect their wish and will make some kind of crap movie destroying hte legacy of so mythical movies, i hope to be wrong, but....
  20. Yeah, but even you are the creator, and you say you have the "obligation" is not really like this, because all of us take part of this forum and we can give something to it, but in your case is a lot of time and energy, so me and many other people appreciate to have so many numbers cause is our "food" mainly here. Thanks again for your answer and your positive attitude.
  21. Thanks Bruce for your work here, this thread is really attractiv thanks to your updating numbers anytime.
  22. I also recognize was kind of pessimistic after 1st weekend, especially dom, but Cameron once more is proving that he has something special to connect with people around the world like anybody else. i think even has more merit now than with Titanic or Avatar, cause its 13 years since it last movie and the guy is almost 70 years old. Look where is Spielberg now, he has nothing close to a big success since 20 years ago and this Cameron is still attracting audiences from different ages and cultures. He really deserves to be the king of box office.
  23. I think if China recovers from all this restrictions, in a short future a movie from Hollywood that succed in general worldwide and is a big hit in China, will easily beat 500 million admits. if movies like NWH or A2 are doing almost 300 M, it only needs 200 M from China, so if the market continues developing will be easy for a popultaion over 1,4 B, just a 25 % is 350 million people, so i see it very easy in a short future if the market develops.
