  1. I think these two numbers from China are correct, so 145 + 42= 187 So Titanic was the 3rd movie to get 2 B without China, and A2 is the 4th. Even though, as Mr. Roark said, and i´m agree with this, the first run of 1,8 B is not totally correct and it got more than this. I had some discussion with Charlie about the all time number of admissions between AEG and Titanic, he says that AEG has more than Titanic in their first run, but by my estimations, Titanic is way ahead from all the movies recorded since the 80 ´s.
  2. Hey!!! Thanks a lot for thinkning about me for this new, it´s a great detail for your side. It´s nice to see TGM going up maybe to the magical 1.5 B barrier. Have a great day!!!!
  3. ...and it seems no 1.6 B OS nor 2.3 WW....the thing is out of gas...
  4. The moviegoing has changed a lot in the last 10 years, as another pal said, it´s a miracle to have a movie over 2 B actually.
  5. I feel very bad for the low grosses from all F4 movies. The comic for me is the best from Marvel, but the result in box office was a complete dissaster. I hope one day someone make a movie from F4 making the quality they deserve.
  6. Give us some credit, maybe Avatar, makes remember people that movies still exist!!
  7. Yeah, agree, Europe needs these kinds of hits to recover the moviegoing a bit.
  8. Almost half of admits, inflation wins this time, but even though it´s a great success for A2.
  9. Thanks very much Mike for the kind message and for taking the time to get the info. It´s a pleasure to find here generous humans like you and others who make the experience here a pleasure. Have a nice afternoon if you live in Canada, here in Spain is already night. See you here!
  10. Hello Mike, do you know the top 10 all time in Canada? i´m curious about it, cause i never had the chance to check it. Thanks in advance!
  11. It´s a mega success, no movie, except A1, of course has crossed this magical barrier in the last 20 years, so, besides how is moviegoing right now, i see it even more successful than the first part.
  12. wow...it seems it´s gonna miss the 7 M admits just for a little bit...such a shame.
  13. Anyone has the numbers for the last weekend? Thanks in advance!!
  14. I understand, thanks for answer. I´m thinking now that would be very interesting, at least for me, to talk here how the members of this forum arrived to the world of box office, and if we had any influence from somebody, i´m curious right now and i´m thinking about to open a thread about this.
  15. How do you do it for having so many interesting informations??? Do you have time for other things in life? i guess no, amazing!!
  16. How many beautiful stories about this movie, in general and in individual ways, this is something so special when mankind we have a common interest, it´s such a powerful force. For me, is the only movie i watched 4 times in theatres, first 2 were in Madrid, my city, the third was in Lisbon, almost 9 months after release, i was visiting the city for the expo 98, but my hidden goal was to see again Titanic in original version, cause in Spain was not anymore possible. My 4th was in 2012, with the 3d release, and i loved the same 15 years after. For me the scene when Rose goes up in the boat and she looks to the eyes of Jack, thinking " he said me he´ll take the next boat, but probably there is no boat for him" and moments after going back to the ship, it´s so extremely emotional, even if i´ve seen dozens of times. Besides, with Titanic really began my passion for box office, with the run of the runs, i used to go evey week to a shop where they sold Variety magazin but people could have a look for free, cause it was like a mall where magazines were little forgotten and the price for me to buy was too high. Wherever where i was on sundays (the day they receive Variety) i stopped everything and i was to the shop to see the weekly numbers of Titanic, was also my particular love stoy with data and this movie, really far away from today, where we have all the data daily from all over the world almost. So for me Titanic is and always will be a really special story. Happy to read some folks here share same emotions for this movie and this run so many years after. Thanks for sharing, today is a good day to read this thread.
  17. How much did Titanic WW this weekend, anybody knows it?
  18. Beating Untouchables with 9,1 M admits as the biggest hit in Germany since Avatar in 2010, i think is a mega success, considering how changed habits in the last 10 years with digital platforms. Of course would be very nice this magic number of 10 M, but for me is a super success for A2 being over 7 M admits, so if goes to 9.5- 9.8 is anyway something very very big.
  19. Avatar: The Way of Water $1,200,934 -29.7% - - - $51,459,215 8 Nice hold in the way of 7 M admits!!!
  20. Amazing 14 M tickets, any HLW came close since....Avatar, really a giant success in France.
