    I think both are very close in this kind of success. In Germany is the most attended movie since, of course, Avatar in 2009. After 2020, the things were worse and worse in these years, and if you look the top 10 since 2020, Avatar 2 is lightyears ahead all movies except last James Bond, but even, more than 33 % ahead. In France, is the all time 3rd Hollywood movie, behind, of course, Titanic and Avatar, so i think this is a great success. Also, since 2020, is the biggest hit for 4 million admits more, that is a lot, alo over 1/3 more than the second. France, has more moviegoing historically than Germany, so 14 M tickets for 60 M people is quite impressive. In germany sold 10 M tickets for 80 M people, is less compared in raw numbers, but seeing the trend in the last 30 years i think is also a giant success, so...for me it´s difficult to decide.

    Insidekino.de gives Titanic 5.4 M this international weekend. Anyone knows where this come from???

    Yeah, Titanic is the exception of all exceptions, haha. I´m from Spain and also here it was more than 20 % of population the number of tickets sold. I think in other countries was the same, but maybe its counting system wasn´t well developed at that time, and after that no other film has done the same amount of numbers. Some countries with some films (France - Welcome to the sticks/ untouchables) Japan -Demon Slayer) but it´s very difficult to go over this 10 %. About Luxembourg, i also didn´t know population has grown so much in the last 20 years and maybe this is the cause.

    I was thinking about this last days, cause the last hope for A2 to get this magical number of 7 million admissions is on these holidays, froma yesterday to sunday. Is now or never, so crossingfingers for the last milestone of this incredible run!!!

    I think you are wrong with this, if you check all time admissions lists from many countries, 10 % of the population is very common as the all time number 1 in admissions. There are even, some countries where they even not reach this 10 % . USA, Australia, France, Japan and other countries are exceptions, but this 10 % is quite common.

    I don´t think so, maybe Disney will update its last weeks in some time, what is strange is The Numbers is going down with the OS number in the last 2 weeks.

    Right, i was confused with openers over 70 M that includes the first Avatar.

    I think after that opening weekend, 99, 9 % of us will be more than happy with this number, and many here forecasted under 500 M or even less, so having this 5X is somethingreally excellent. 3rd highest multipler for movies over 100 M, so this is really good.

    Incredible success in this post 2020 age and also for Germany which maket was highly depressed in the last 3 years. The power of JC!!!

    Such a shame, less than 500000 tickets for being in the all time top 10 for Avatar 2, anyway amazing success, less than 10 % than first Avatar.

    It´s 1 M behind TFA with a weekend of 110 K, so it´ll need 7 weekends more with no drop...

    Agree, in the last 20 years only 3 foreeign films passed 10 M admits, TFA and Lion King did only 10. something, but the 2 avatars were over 14 M, the power of JC, amazing....

    2.33?? i don´t see it at all unless there are some bump by Oscars or another thing that i don´t know. In normal conditions i don´t see it doing more than 15-20 M WW from now.

    The thing now is in Germany, France, australia and Spain. In Grmany for the 10 M admits, France for 14 M admits, Spain for 7 M admits and Australia for surpassing in dollars TGM or even TFA and being n. 2 all time. I think this is the biggest interests for this run, Germany is 90 % locked, France 99%, Australia and Spain not so clear, but are interesting goals to follow.
