Finn Wolfhard (Richie) has had an awesome two years. Stranger Things last summer, now IT and Stranger Things 2 next month.

Rock as Ben, delivers the Rock Bottom, spinebuster and then the People's Elbow to Pennywise. All topped off with a glorious one liner. I would buy a dozen tickets for opening day to see that.

Detroit is a serious movie, probably little or no humor anywhere in it, so it will sadly underperform or outright bomb. Hopefully it can surprise though. -

People just have shit taste. Not the first time it's happened with great movies, most definitely won't be the last. Flash forward to like a year from now and all the "gosh this Apes movie is incredible! Why did it underperform!?" articles will be flying in, as we sit here throwing our hands up, telling these idiots I told you so.

And yet Homecoming is dropping like a rock, despite being "fun". And yet Dunkirk has few action set pieces, pace isn't that fast, it's dark and a bit depressing. And also, the notion that summer is just for fun blockbusters needs to die in a fire. It's not true anymore.

Considering how people seem to be having trouble following along with the timelines, I can see why Nolan went heavy with exposition in the past. People are stupid.

A Dr. Doom movie from the guy behind Fargo and Legion. Count me the hell in. After how wonderfully he handled the villain in Legions first season, this should be damn good.

Which is exactly what anything involving the Infinity Stones should be. About time we see something of this scale, especially after the teasing of Thanos we've sporadically gotten. They need to nail him as a threat like never before and hurtling planets around is a damn good start.

I cannot wait to see what Reeves does with Batman. Hearing him talking about a noir detective type of film makes me giddy as hell. He certainly has my trust after what he did with Dawn and now War. We could be getting the GOAT Batman movie.

Probably should've worded that better. People who have seen the first two will certainly have a closer "connection" with Caesar coming into the movie and then everything that occurs in War. That's more of what I meant by that.

Agreed. I really enjoyed Logan, Guardians 2 and loved Wonder Woman but of the "big" movies so far this year, Apes beats them all by a huge margin. To have a big budget movie do some of the things Apes is willing to do is such a fresh breath of air. Now I sincerely hope good word of mouth carries it to a good run.
