  1. Imagine how would he feel if he hadn't been texting during it haha
  2. If Endgame opens to around 300m it's going to dethrone SW:TFA as the movie with the highest number of all time records at BOM. Currently TFA has 32, and Infinity War 11. It's going to get all of IW's records, plus 10-16 of TFA (Opening day, Single day, Opening Friday, Fastest to 100m, 300m, 350m, possibly 400m and 450m, 4-day gross, 5-day gross, possibly 6, 7 and 8 day gross, possibly opening week, Opening Avg, Overall Avg), foreign opening, widest release and opening, widest release and opening pg-13, weekend market share. So, 28-34 records, while TFA would drop to 16-22, and Infinity War would disappear of the chart. I kind of hope that Infinity War could keep at least one, like largest saturday, so that it still has a record for some time.
  3. Thanks, Charlie. Where did you get that? This value is almost exactly the value that the yearly wikipedia page has (237,784,000), but it's still not the same. Also, the value that the overall ranking page has (which comes from BOM) is much different. It would be good to get a verified top 50 or something, haha, but if it gives too much work, just this top 10: # Filme Ano[nota 14] Bilheteria (R$) Ref. 1 Avengers: Infinity War 2018 259 976 071 [153] 2 Avengers: Age of Ultron 2015 187 654 367 [154] 3 Minions 2015 146 841 899 [155] 4 Fast and Furious 7 2015 146 325 096 [156] 5 The Incredibles 2 2018 140 507 039 [157] 6 Captain Marvel 2019 139 100 000 [158] 7 Aquaman 2018 138 475 860 [159] 8 Black Panther 2018 134 548 006 [160] 9 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 2016 133 677 425 [161] 10 Justice League 2017 132 948 830 [162] If this even is the correct top 10...
  4. Ah, I see. That's crazy! But then, do you think they go from dollars to reais, or vice versa? Because if it's the latter, the R$ info would be accurate. Also, there must be somewhere we can get accurate info on this...
  5. Hmm, can you elaborate? Not sure I understood.
  6. The list of spectators seems to align closer, and it's based on the last weekend of data from adorocinema, both my and @Fullbuster's links from wikipedia have the same value for attendance for Age of Ultron. I hypothesized that the money value on the yearly list could be the number of spectators multiplied by some average ticket price, but they don't fit that.
  7. Hehe, we were doing the same thing. Should we inoke Rth to try and clarify this?
  8. Ok, the link that I sent has as it's source for ultron Box Office Mojo, for Brazil this weekend in local currency: https://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/brazil/?currency=local&yr=2015&wk=42&p=new, which is the last weekend that BOM has for weekly grosses that includes Ultron. In that weekend it lists Brazilian gross as 187.6m LC, which is the value the link I listed has. Before that weekend there was another which includes Ultron (October 9-11, 2015) at 180m, the following weekend on which it is pumped to 187m has 0 BRL as the weekend gross (which would seem to indicate some kind of revision. Before that, Ultron is not listed in any weekends after July 3-5, 2015, at which point it had 149m LC. https://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/brazil/?yr=2015&wk=27&currency=local&p=.htm A couple of weekends before (June 19-21, 2015) it had a decrease of 600k, after a 300k weekend which would also indicate a revision. https://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/brazil/?yr=2015&wk=25&currency=local&p=.htm Civil War is much weider, being revised downards multiple times after this weekend: https://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/brazil/?yr=2016&wk=24&currency=local&p=.htm which seems to be the peak, at 148m, down to 130m at a sudden weekend of October. I couldn't find for either movie a value identical to that of the yearly page on wikipedia, on any of the weekends, and as the yearly page doesn't cite sources, I don't know where they got their numbers. The ranking on the general page I linked to seems to always point to the last weekend of the movie on mojo. I don't know how reliable that is either, and have no idea how a movie could be revised 18 million down, or 30 million up, so it seems sketchy too.
  9. Hmm, ok, so that's weird. Both are on wikipedia, and I remember seeing that Age of Ultron number on the list I have some time ago, but it was edited. Don't know how to get a confirmation for a more official number.
  10. Yes. This is the list I have: https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lista_de_filmes_de_maior_bilheteria#Filmes_mais_vistos_no_Brasil I just notice that in your earlier post you had way different numbers. Where do you get yours?
  11. Is Captain Marvel guaranteed to pass Minions? I saw 300k tickets for last weekend on Adorocinema, is that for the week or only the weekend? If it's whole week might be close, considering around 400k for the next 2 weeks (assuming it's going to vanish from teathers after Endgame opens) and apparently the average ticket price in R$ for it is around 16, so it's going to add around 6.4 million, which is just under Minions. Of course, I am just guessing the 400k, so I'd like to know how close you guys think I am.
  12. You look very different from what I imagined, Baumer. I always figured you had a Hockey mask on all the time.
  13. We have very similar taste. Thought I'm watching Fargo now, and after a season and a half, I'm yet to find a flaw in it, it has to get up there somewhere. Do you like Death Note? I usually rank shows by season, and would have Death Note's single season as the second best season I've ever watched, after GoT's 4th.
  14. Fun fact, when I watched Apocalypse Now I didn't know the normal version didn't have a boring french family scene near the end. I really liked it, but the redux version was a little too long, should watch the the theatric cut someday.
  15. Really digging this list. Need to rewatch Once Upon A Time in the West, I had it in my top 50, but I feel I would like it even more now.
  16. Yeah, I feel like Brazil really doesn't have enough teathers for more than one movie to do big numbers at the same time. My small town only has one movie screen and they are ditching IW completely for Deadpool. At least I got to watch it 3 times before it went away.
  17. Can't believe The Departed never made the list before, not that I was the only one to have it at the top 10, it's so damn great. Is this footlo see thing serious? I didn't know it was that well regarded. Did people make it surrogate Infinity War?
  18. Right? I don't feel the hype for this one at all, but didn't feel it for the first either (and it was comparetively just as big in Brazil as in the US), so it might surprise everyone again.
  19. Maybe because there are no weekends on which they don't have a huge tentpole opening...
  20. Just wait until Ant-Man and the Wasp opens to 240M and has a shot at beating them both with good legs.
  21. Happy for Unforgiven! I was the one who had it at the top 5. Lost count of how many of the list so far were on my top 100.
  22. Actually surprised that Jurassic World and Dead Man's Chest are this high. I really like Dead Man's Chest, but had the impression that it was not well liked here.
  23. I like Gravity, but think it's too short, usually when a movie is that short I can't really get too invested on it. Singing in the rain is great, wasn't on my list, but could have easily been. Monty Python and Good Will Hunting are too low. 5/10 so far.
  24. Great start, don't love boyhood, and haven't watched grave of the fireflies, but he rest is really good. Sad that There will be Blood and Cidade de Deus are so low, though. 3/6 from my list, so far.
