  3. Somehow I was disappointed, with two biggest grosser have gone out of theater, and the post didn't turn crazy like la la land, hidden figures, revenant, or american sniper, I expect a much bigger space for the remaining nominees, but still, except for 3 billboard, the others seem to be remained as typical indie hit

  5. High PTA wouldn't make theater to keep you around, but big raw number, and 96% up is in fact lower than last friday's 107%, hope % will get higher than after revision

  8. erm...when I say 2013 oscar season, I was referring all those nominees from 2012 which did so well after the oscar-nom 2013
  9. 2013 Oscar season was the best, All the BP nominees grossed big-big raw number after nom, and they did so as a whole! Still wonder why there was such a huge influx that year.....
  10. 2013-Sliver Lining, Django, Les Miserable, zero dark 30.... 2014 - The wolf of wall street, I always blamed Paramount for not being keep TWOWW harder in theater, that movie could have gross more with that kind of PTA's hold. 2015- American Sniper, oscar blockbuster 2016-The Revenant 2017-Hidden figure and La la land 2018- The Post only? With lower total gross than all others, only one BP nominee gross significant raw number is pretty sad.....hope SOW can pull giant number......Wish all small indie could enjoy gigantic jump!! Moviepass gonna helps!!
  11. Lady bird is pacing roughly the same as Manchester by the sea at this point of calendar release, given they too, have a similar theater count for oscar nom weekend, anything above 2m for lady bird would be a win then.....toward a potential $50m total
  12. the post to me, not only kind of underperformed at the box office, but also in the oscar nomination...... perhaps it is a message to the movie industry, "don't get so political!!" meanwhile try to address the Trump effect on the america landscape
  13. Lady Bird officially received oscar bump! Movie Distributor Gross Change Thtrs. Per Thtr. Total Gross Days - (-) Lady Bird A24 $185,742 +62% 675 $275 $39,353,702 82 - (-) The Disaster Artist A24 $23,274 +6% 147 $158 $20,771,211 54 - (-) The Florida Project A24 $8,187 +15% 37 $221 $5,586,997 110
  14. at least they didn't nominate despicable me 3 or cars 3.....I would pick in this corner of the world instead of baby boss
  15. Is adding the shows for those Oscar BP nominees instantly on Tuesday prohibited?
  16. I can't remember when was the last time that We have 2 BP nominees that missed out in both best direting and best screenplay
  17. Agree, I was actually rooting for old man for the 1st best actor winner that not in the BP nominees since 2009, now we need to wait.....and with no best directing nor best screen play nomination, I would assume they barely pass the bar
  18. any way to stop hostiles from releasing too wide, like 3000+, it is so wasteful....
  19. Hong Chau in downsizing was snubbed, apparently no one cares, and if she got nominated, I wonder will they show the clip when she curse, "8 types fuck ,fuck, fuck......"
  20. when it missed original screenplay, i almost though streep would left out too....but streep is still streep, no way they miss out her, and btw, florence foster jenkins got more nominations than the post
  21. dunkirk's momentum was actually quite steady, all of its expected categories are well secured......
  22. prepare for all the theater count jump!!! and is dunkirk coming back to theater?
