Which reminds me: Mother's Day is Sunday, everyone!

Just read the week-end report on boxofficemojo
Used to follow those VERY closely, eager to read them, follow their analysis. Now they're just... nothing. Empty. Numbers report, and that's it.
Saddens me

Can somebody find better sources than me on the Philippines record?
This article (http://pro.boxoffice.com/global-report-avengers-age-of-ultron-off-to-hot-start-furious-7-crosses-1-billion-overseas-becomes-1-movie-of-all-time-in-china/) says that Ultron opened with 7.7M, which would be higher than CW's opening there. But it's supposed to be a record

It has always been expected to behave like an AVENGERS movie.
Hehe, that would be quite long to do, but I could find hundreds of quotes all around these forums that this is, in fact, definitely not true.

Hard to tell exactly where it will finish at this point, but it's clear that it's behaving like an Avengers movie now. No one can deny that.

Amazing numbers, guess this really is not behaving like a Cap movie.
In fact, it's behaving like an Avengers sequel, but as if it was coming out of TA, not AoU

So it's not a 2-day gross. It's a 1-day gross.

Holy crap, I just realized that other than Avatar and 2 of the SW Prequels, Deadpool is Fox's highest grossing movie domestically to date.

Black Rain - http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=weekly&id=blackrain.htm
Michael Douglas and Andy Garcia, direct by Ridley Scott, composed by Hans Zimmer. Looks interesting to say the least

Maybe.......if it gets a strong increase on Saturday. Maybe.
Also.....how many blockbusters has opened around $30-40M OD and hit $100M+ OW? That rarely happens.
Ok I went a little crazy here. Not a single movie which had a 30-35 OD opened to 100M+
Still, great number, Disney should be more than happy with this!

The best shared universe is the Lord of the Rings universe.
3 movies, perfection.

Oh wait, it's actually 6 movies

Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy has more Oscar wins than the whole MCU.
To be fair, you only need to count The Dark Knight and that is still true

All I want to say is, I'm sad to see how all went bonkers just because a movie most were looking forward to got bad reviews.
It spawned a lot of misplaced hatred, and, as Yoda would say --

All I want to say on this subject is that I was actually hyped up for BvS about 1 month ago, looking very forward to it.
Then the movie came out and the reviews along with it. I was sad at first, I really wanted it to be good, I had my Thursday night ticket ready. And then some DC fans revealed their true colors, and others went along with it. And now it's a shitshow.
I will never consider myself a member of such an obnoxious and immature community... regardless of the quality of future DC movies (which I will enjoy if they're good).
Sorry.
That being said, I hope Suicide Squad performs well, and is received well. That would be a win for everyone.

If Thursday number is headed for ~1.1M, what does that say about the week-end?
I can't really see anything above 3/4.5/2.5 for 10M

Jeez well if it is coming off a $23M weekend, it seems crazy it can't manage another $54M or whatever. I guess if it falls hard with losing its premium format screens, and next weekend only manages $10M, I guess that makes sense though. It's still crazy.
No summer weekdays and enormous competition in the upcoming week-ends tends to have that effect
