Jim said it himself that some scenes CGI weren't as good as they could have been because there are so many shots in the movie. The language I used was incorrect, the spectrum of CGI in Avatar is incredible to flawless. -
Wonder how much this would have made if it had competition.

My mum loves Twilight Fortunately Titanic had something for everyone with such an epic disaster sequence for the final third, something for the Dad's (aswell as Kate).

Interesting to note Avatar's CGI was done by both ILM and Weta with Weta doing the 40 minute battle sequence. The quality of the CGI throughout the film ranges from good to immaculate, time constraints didn't allow for all scenes to be immaculate. War paint Neytiri was unreal for 2009.

it's worth noting that the they're coming 1 week earlier than Solo and DP2 -
the avengers had a 46% bump from last friday to sat, then a 55% bump from this fri to sat. IW had a 48.5% bump from last friday to sat, so I'm guessing around a 57% bump this fri to sat 15.5*1.57= $24.333 I don't have a clue how Mothers day impact box office so maybe it can catch up to 60 through the Sunday
