  1. Love it killing it in China, they love big spectacle movies made by big directors
  2. It's obviously got tons of references but you have to expect the film to flow fine without understanding a single reference.
  3. I wonder what Avatar 2's will be..."only did well because the visuals were so good". Only one I can think of.
  4. Well I hope they come to terms with Avatar 2 imminent success before the fact so we don't have to hear the equivalent of "just did well because the 3d" over and over again.
  5. lol, sometimes I feel as though people on BOT let bias affect their predictions... they'll probably say that about me aswell but I'm not the one predicting Avatar 2 to make less than $1.5b.
  6. Haha. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Avatar's opening weekend of $77m is still the highest of any original film, god only knows how much A2 will make on it's opening weekend. My current A2 expectations are, $850m dom / $3.5b WW
  7. I expect it to make twice as much world wide as anything else that year, 0.5A2 will be hard to beat
  8. Prometheus and Robin Hood, while questionable scripts, they were directed very well. I don't think he's lost it as some others do.
  9. format: DOMESTIC / WORLDWIDE sorted by: WORLDWIDE, HIGH TO LOW 1.) Frozen 2 $600/$1750M 2.) IW2 $680M/$1550M 3.) Lion King $600M/$1500M 4.) Episode IX $730M/$1450M 5) Alladdin $450M/$1150M 6.) WW2 $450M/$950M 7.) Jumanji 2: $350M/$800M 2019 is going to make so much money, so many big releases it's crazy. Captain marvel could make more $800m but I didn't bother because it's too unknown too me. Frozen is going to make the most worldwide, just watch. Massive year for Disney... they've got such a monopoly it's sad.
  10. was go I'm looking forward too it, I was going to see it last night but I got a friend had to postpone until the weekend. This film looks really up my street. Also about 71 years old, you never lose it. Berg is among the most talented directors and has the most experience making blockbusters of anyone. Even Ridley Scott hasn't lost it, he is just making bad script and movie choices.
  11. "What is this funny feeling... make it stop! No! No! NO! NOOO!" if loving Ney is wrong I don't wanna be right
