I think I found an official version:
Subtitled in Japanese.
Have to say, a lower budget can sometimes lead to ugly-looking characters. And the teeth on the red pandas definitely seem to play into Asian stereotypes.
We understand that you think you're entitled to all movies whenever you want for no extra charge. We just disagree with you.
Oh and these licences are what allows intellectual property to be profitable at all.
You are however, getting a free ride from all the honest people who paid.
In fact, I would say you're stealing the content in you sneak into a theater or pirate. Fare dodgers steal rides, and pirates steal content. "Rides" and "content" are still intangible things.
Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. They're the most basic choices, but I think they're the best. Hayao Miyazaki's consecutive masterpieces.
I don't think either of those movies really have anime tropes, though.
I'll consider Your Name if I get a chance to see it.
Just because you watch some things legally doesn't mean you're justified in pirating everything else. If you don't want flack, go to your torrenting fansites or something.
See, if you can tie in a sob story, I'll be more sympathetic to piracy. If it's just "I want what I want and you can't make me pay and it doesn't hurt anyone", that's not any more advanced than a toddler's tantrum.
