  1. I couldn't give a shit who it went against. I'm not a musical fan at all.
  2. Mumbai Musical (working title, Dec. 19, 2015) Fucking idiots!!!!!!!
  3. It's supposed to be in 2016 but no specific date assigned yet.http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118057541
  4. Hey, I went to see Brave (a few months back). Where is my good? Why are you short changing me?
  5. Universal Dates Minions Movie Dec. 19, 2014http://www.deadline.com/2012/08/untitled-minions-movied-slated-for-december-19-2014/
  6. I think some of they're other movies (Ratatouille, UP) were harder sells so I'd have to disagree with that thought.
  7. ^^ I'm curious to know where you think MU will rank in comparison to other animated franchises?
  8. I didn't make that quote up, Steve Hulett said that in his post...
  9. It wasn't coming together according to...http://animationguildblog.blogspot.ca/2012/08/goodbye-to-cinder-biter.html
  10. These guys are saying 2017.http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-et-ct-dreamworks-china-kung-fu-panda-3-20120806,0,17577.story
  11. According to the link below, KFP3 will happen in 2016 and it will be made in China.http://internationalentertainmentnews.blogspot.ca/2012/08/rising-dreams-in-orient-oriental.html
  12. I honestly didn't think it could either.
  13. You never know exactly what clicks and doesn't with viewers. What baffles me was KFP2 results but we now know 2011 was an off year for animation. It just goes to show that we shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusion.
  14. What this guy is saying isn't far off from what you were saying not long ago. I remember when DWA was putting out three sequels in a row you saying DWA was going to be bitch slapped for allowing this to happen.Personally, I don't have any issues with sequels because it's just part of the way Hollywood operates and to some extent what the people want, so why not give it to them. I can't imagine DIsney/Marvel not making TA2 and frankly it surprises me that we haven't heard TI2 is not happening yet.
  15. Me? You must be thinking of someone else. :PI bet that project is probably percolating somewhere deep within DWA's caves. At the San Diego Comic-Con, they said they've got about 19 or so projects all gestating there at the studio.
  16. We don't know if he pulled himself or whether management pulled him off the project. What I read was that they were having technical problems a year ago so they put the project on hold (project almost canceled) which doesn't surprise me considering what they are trying to do (mix of hand draw/CG animation).BTW, the Stanley Grubb character is portrayed perfectly because he's supposed to be a timid guy with an extreme aversion to adventure.
  17. I went along with the joke but I'd hardly call it the same thing. All that's been done on M&MS (according to TAG/IMDB) is test work and that is very different to those other cases (^).
  18. DreamWorks’ “Me and My Shadow” Poster http://www.cartoonbr...dow-poster.html https://www.facebook.com/MeAndMyShadowMovie
  19. That's your opinion. All I know is that Mad3 has nothing to be ashamed of...
  20. What did the guy expect after 45 days and losing 1000+ screens. Did he expect the numbers to go up? Why point it out?
  21. What did you expect after 45 days with two direct competitors and losing over 1000 screens this week. How long have you been tracking movie box office results? :rolleyes:This shouldn't have been much of a surprise especially for a guy who's been tracking movie for as long as you. Oh I know, you have eyes for Disney only.
  22. I don't claim to know what happened or what is happening but I'm assuming Chapman is still under contract with Pixar, so Pixar calls all the shots here. Her options are to put aside this bad experience and hope that it works out better next time or ride the bench and run out her contract or maybe play along and do as she's told and hope to get an early out or lastly, just leave and forfeit her severance. It is rare that someone gives up on their severance so I'm guessing that won't be the option she takes.
  23. It is standard procedure for employers/employees to play nice in this kind of situation, if they want things to end in good standing. I think in the film business, it's important not to burn bridges simply because you never know where and who you'll wind up working again with in the future.
