Hey, I know 9 and 8. Thought this would be a slide into ignorance for me. Off to a great start.

Officially, according to Toho, he is Zilla. (Final Wars).

An entry into the franchise, but the franchise doesn't acknowledge it as Godzilla.

I don't know enough about the rights and right holders of Kong right now. But pretty much every Kong since 1933 is a knock off.

It's a movie, yes. It's a knock off. In the same way Emerich's Godzilla isn't really Godzilla.

Looking at this list of films, I find that through all the deep contemplative fare on offer, I pounce on the exploitive and comedic. Says a lot about me as a movie goer.

That's a knock off King Kong, doesn't count.

Mothra shows up and kicks both their asses.

This has been on my to buy list for several months from Criterion. I'll have to speed that up.

Unless they come up with a logical explanation for how a 100 foot gorilla can have the bone and muscle structure to support itself, this will be a pretty stupid movie.

I like that my score average never really changes week to week, I can just shoot up the rankings by everyone else failing.

I've noticed a lot of Connery on this list.

I saw some comments saying that it was a recall warning, and that no fix for the problem exists yet.

I'm heartbroken. Such a talent, any movie I've seen with him in it has always been a joy to watch him. He was far too young. RIP.
