Yeah, I don't get this. the main focus of any monster movie has never been the monster, but the people. How people deal with the monster. The original King Kong isn't about Kong, he doesn't appear for the first 47 minutes. The movie isn't about Kong, it's about Ann Darrow, Carl Denham, and Jack Driscoll. The best Godzilla movies aren't about Godzilla, Godzilla is a part, but he isn't the focus. The focus is on the people, and how they deal with the impending monster. Fun Fact: Godzilla in GODZILLA (2014), appears more often than Godzilla in 9 other films. Gojira appears roughly a full minute less in a film titled GOJIRA. It's a lesson in titular character does not mean main character.

Define faithful? I always thought that with worlds like DBZ you're better off telling an original story that is true and faithful to the characters in a movie, than trying to tell the same story again. In that sense, yes I do believe they can make a decent and faithful live-action film.

Made pretty decent animated films through the years, not sure why they couldn't make decent live action ones.

I'm torn. JL has a pretty decent chance to take the crown, but I wouldn't count out GOTG2 or Spider-Man. Thor has an outside surprise chance, but doubtful. Everything else won't come close...need time to think.
