  1. Not seen a Marvel game that holds a candle to the Arkham games. Well, not since the first PS Spider-Man.
  2. Even if you love DC, and love those films, Nolan had final say, not DC. If you're going to discount Fox and Sony, then you can't turn a blind eye to that Dark Knight was Nolan's baby, not DC or WBs.
  3. you have a source on GOTG's budget? I just pulled IM3 because it was right next to it on Box office Mojo. My point was for stand alone movies though, not solo films.
  4. No real need for that kind of language. It's also easy to forget how much a hand Marvel did have in X-Men and Spider-Man. After all, Avi Arad was producer. Marvel Entertainment had a hand in those movies before they made an in house studio. So It's perfectly fair to include X-Men, Spider-Man, FF, and their sequels.
  5. Jessica Jones was amazing! Marvel Comics is a mixed bag, I think some individual series are miles above what DC has. And others are miles below. My favs are Marvel, but the more consistent is DC (yay!) I agree on the animated, nothing holds a candle to DC animated. Films, as a whole MCU is doing better, but they do have the benefit of having nearly a decade to find their footing. I'll reserve judgement once we get a few more DC films, and they figure themselves out. it's easy to forget how Early Marvel clearly had no clue where they wanted to go with the MCU.
  6. Not a bad assumption, I pretty much expect it to remain flat, with maybe a small decrease. It'll need something stellar and surprising to make it jump huge.
  7. Guardians is a standalone. It's a team movie, but still a stands alone from the rest of the MCU as a whole. According to Box Office Mojo it was budgeted less than IM3, not that I know how true that is. I doubt Guardians could ever go over 375 We don't know DCEU's ceiling yet, it's still too early to judge, or claim that MCU's is higher.
  8. Stupid War Dogs...drop harder.
  9. I would think the ceiling for an average MCU movie is 350, with more likely range to be in the mid 200s. Of the highest grossing films, We have the Avengers mega-events, Civil War mega-event, and IM3 high on the Avengers. I'd wager that GOTG is pretty much the ceiling for an average MCU film, while GOTG2 may increase on it, I don't think it's that much, and I don't think an stand alone MCU film will go much past 350.
  10. This'll be the big first fight between the universes, and it's Thor vs JL. Even with everything about Thor actually looking good so far, it's still against a power house of a movie, why even risk it? Is there no better place for Thor to go? Though, if Thor pulls in more than JL, this place will be hell to be around.
  11. I think WW doesn't have a terrible chance at getting over 350, especially if it's well reviewed. GOTG2's problem is the MCU ceiling, that's appearing. It may not have that much more room to grow past it's first film's gross. I'm curious about the Thor/JL head to head in NOV. It's going to be weird.
  12. All three are going to hit the same range, low to mid 300s. GOTG2 probably has the best shot, with the most good will, and the most stand alone feeling. Wonder Woman in second, a good trailer, her first film, a lot of hype, enough time between it and any bad feelings the DCEU may have gathered to be forgotten. Spider-Man third. While fresh and different, it's doubling down on connections to MCU with RDJ, and it has perhaps a worse taste in it's mouth with declining returns from ASM series that CW may not have completely cleared away. Three movies that will be within 10M of each other, unless something really unexpected happens.
  13. That was surprisingly easy, had a good to trim off the back end. And some I couldn't add because I remembered there were prolonged live action bits. Also, I like some cheesy animated films. 1.) 14. I can't watch a dubbed Funimation live Action. Nothing against their dub actors, but I recognize all their voices, and associate them with anime, so it's always unnerving to see them with live actors.
  15. Dalton gets a really raw deal as Bond. Both his movies are pretty good, but he gets no recognition. Lazenby has more notoriety as the character than him, and that's kind of tragic.
  16. Maybe I'll just get it off amazon. My friend has most the other Ghibli films, so I can do it as a Christmas present.
  17. I've wanted to see Fireflies for so long, but could never find a copy.
