  1. A movie which stars Deadpool, Collasus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and a bottle of Ajax may outgross a movie which stars Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. If you told me this just last week, I would have laughed right in your face.
  2. And here I thought Deadpool was going to face plant and tumble once BvS started showing. I wonder how this weekend will fare....
  3. Yea it would get Passions record. The only way Deadpool gets to 375M is if Fox expands it towards the end of its run and does a bit more marketing. I think they'll be too focused on their x-men movie to do that.
  4. This is what happens when preview numbers are withheld for so long. People begin to lose their minds and we begin arguing for audience scores.
  5. I understand your logic. I do. But how come when a Marvel movie comes out, it's audience score doesn't drop either? They're all really high. Wouldn't DC trolls give those movies the lowest rating?
  6. My friend who manages a theater in my area said that there were two reactions to the film: 1). It's not as bad as the critics said it was. 2). Disappointment because the movie didn't live up to expectations. The average score for the film was a 6.5/10 in their survey. I think the biggest issue for the film is that it's been so hyped up for so long so when a person views it and it doesn't live up to their expectations then it's suddenly a terrible film. Lastly sales at his theater are equivalent to a $22M preview night. But he expects it to open up with more than that in terms of previews. He has it at $29M. He thinks Saturday and Sunday there will be significant drops.
  7. Have you seen the last 73 pages? You're asking for too much right now. We misbehaved while you're online. What do you think is going to happen with you gone? PARTY!
  8. Not on Facebook but on Twitter it's been mixed. For every person who liked it, someone hated it.
  9. In terms of previews, no sites have given anything out yet officially. A few members on here have it anywhere from 18M to possibly over 30M...crazy I know. But the latest overall Box Office prediction is around $170M from Box Office Mojo.
  10. There are no numbers. Yes we've made it 60+ pages because of arguing about whether this movie is good or not. It's the same thing on every page.
  11. BvS also started playing at 6PM and the tracking has indicated above Ultron numbers so I would say yes. Not because it's actually a disaster but because it's $10M under what most expected.
  12. Which falls between the $158M and $185M that I stated they mention in the article. Right in the middle actually.
  13. Boxoffice mojo said anywhere from $158M to $185M. They're waiting for the CinemaScore before giving a better update.
  14. Yup as its audience score continues to drop on both flixster and IMDb.
  15. Between the two theaters in my town the show times for tonight are 3/24 in terms of being sold out for Thursday night showings and none sold out for the weekend.
  16. To me and you yes but to the average movie goer it doesn't look "small." You can't deny that they did a lot with what they were given and that starts with the director of the film. Besides a small budget will always work for Deadpool because his character is never going to need everything that other super hero movies have.
  17. It was also his first film and it was made on a small budget. When I would tell people how much the movie cost they were shocked because they thought with all the action scenes and stuff it would have cost more.
  18. I agree. Fox didn't know what they had and they only made the movie because the fans kept bugging them. However as we can see when you let people who understand the comics take control you're going to get good results.
  19. Ryan Reynolds wasn't the star of X-men Origins nor Blade Trinity. He was in like 15 minutes of the first one. And Blade Trinity was more Wesley Snipes movie than Ryan Reynolds. However he did do Green Lantern and RIPD. And he was cast for Deadpool because of his role in Blade Trinity.
  20. I'm talking about the critical reviews, the fact that in some parts of Europe it's opening less than MOS and then there is a bootleg version already going around. This isn't a perfect storm and if you want to make a ton of money (over a billion dollars) you need a movie that's a perfect storm.
  21. This movie is slowly becoming a nightmare for Warner Bros. imo and yes there are copies of it in the USA but who in their right mind would watch a bootleg version of a movie like this.
  22. All I can say is that Zootopia is a fantastic movie that I want to see again in theaters. BvS has been hit or miss with some people. However if it's a free ticket why not take the chance?
