Depends. If this opens up at $160M it's a great number for sure but if I'm DC I'm just like well shit two of my most popular heroes can't even break Iron Man 3 numbers. And are Batman and Superman really only $28M more popular than Deadpool? So in the end they may have won.

"Critics failed at their attempt to hurt the movie." Yes because all 160 critics who have given it a rotten score teamed up and decided that they wanted to make sure BvS opened under Deadpool's numbers. They wanted to make it clear that they held the power for which movies make money at the box office and which ones don't. Get real. The movie has been tracking at $140M+ since the first week of February.

WOM is killing this movie. It's previews were higher than Ultron's and yet it's going to have a lesser OD and OW than Ultron. Those legs are going to be terrible. Like Mama June legs while she's trying to do hot yoga. *sarcasm*

Green Lantern was so good that it can't be ranked with the other two. It's simply unrankable.

Well I mean Deadpool was in the 90% along with Star Wars so that's pretty low actually.

Assuming the reports of $15M in presales for previews that Deadline stated two weeks ago are true, it mustered $12.7M more in those two weeks. That doesn't suggest high walk-ups across the board.

It was always going to outgross Deadpool and it was always going to open big. Anyone who thought otherwise was being delusional. Deadpool is R-rated and had no 3D. Batman v Superman contains three of the most iconic super heroes, is PG-13 and has 3D. Just because it got shitty reviews didn't mean it was suddenly going to bomb. However it's legs might not be as good had it gotten great reviews, which is what everyone is talking about.

For all the talk that it was outselling Ultron in pre-sales people were expecting it to surge way above it. Instead it was only hundred thousand more. And lastly BvS is going to be way more front loaded than any Avengers movie. No one is saying that $27.7M isn't good...it's just that with all the talk about it outselling certain films in pre-sales you would think its walk-in game would have been stronger.

Which is why Deadpool's number is pretty impressive. It's in the same genre too.
