  1. Just saw RRR. Vin Diesel should hire this director to direct F10. Most Hollywood studios should let these Indian filmmakers revive their franchises. Even though I'm not a big fan of these stories, I can feel more pure cinematic experience and enjoyment from them.
  2. JW3 is on par with TENET in advance ticket sale at the same point (both of them have the same pre-sale window). It might (or should) beat the later, but it's really unlikely that we could expect a opening close to pre-pandemic level.
  3. NWH made another $334M after its first 10 days. If TGM follow that...
  4. British boys and girls want to have sex with this handsome American solider through their eyes.
  5. If TGM follow the worst holds of the previous $100M+ opening Memorial Day weekend openers after $14.1M on THU: FRI - $25.89M (+83.6% of Solo) SAT - $31.27M (+20.8% of The Hangover Part II) SUN - $19.36M (-38.1% of The Hangover Part II) 2nd WKN - $76.52M (-39.6%)
  6. those are reactions from premiere, but most were hired by studio's marketing partners. Fantastic Beasts 3 was also widely praised after premiere.
  7. Paramount: If TGM miss $500M, you are the one who steal it. And we appreciate that because our deal with Tom Cruise said we will give him more revenue percentage unless it fail to hit that mark.
  8. May 2007 was a very fierce period because studios put Spider Man 3, Shrek 3 & Pirates 3, -- three sequels to highest-grossing domestic films from different year -- in the same month. Intensive schedule become very usual later but was something very uncommon 15 years ago. I remember all three of them were seen as "disappointments". Paramount released first the TF movie in June/July that year, and that one topped Pirates 3 and was close to Shrek 3.
  9. Uni held premiere in China. Few reactions I heard say it's worse than JW2.
  10. Come on, guys, we all know studios nowadays have no ability or willingness to make blockbusters that are worthy of being protected from spoiler. Maybe Marvel would do something for so called "amazing" cameos (instead of good story). What's so secret for a dinosaur movie? King Kong cameo? Zombie T-Rex? The first Jurassic World also had a embargo very late (I remember the reviews came out after Chinese midnights of June 8). I guess Uni just don't really take reviews (good or not) as something big during the marketing campaign unless it's Top Gun 2 level awesome.
