I'm convinced the entire cast will be revealed at SDCC. Or most of the principal cast at least since I think Luthor won't be the main antagonist

Ya as I mentioned earlier in the thread I hope they go big with casting and other things at sdcc. I don’t need other project announcements but the main Superman cast and then maybe some other castings and directors attached to other projects.

  2. Man Gunn has a chance to do a huge SDCC panel this year for DC with major casting announcements for tons of characters cause they said other DC characters will be in Superman plus you could potentially add in some director announcements as well if they have those deals done. Also, add in Reeves Batman stuff as well. I hope they go really big this year.

David Corenswet would be a great choice, he was great in Pearl and definitely has the look. Elordi not even throwing his name into the ring despite Twitter being in love with him and convinced he’s the number 1 pick is pretty funny.

Rachel Brosnahan or Samara Weaving would be my pick for Lois out of those names.

    Transformers 500-600M

    Elemental 350-500M

    The Flash 900-1B

    Indy 5 500-600M

    MI:DR 700-900M

    Oppenheimer 400-500M

    Barbie 250-350M

Take it to the bank my fellow BOT friends, this is how the summer BO will go! (I naturally expect no one to disagree with this ;) )

If flash does those numbers I’d be shocked. I expect Indy to be higher.

    2nd film aged well

6 year gap doesn’t really matter

    Quill in IW doesn’t matter

franchise goodwill was simply in the mud after 4punch of Eternals/DS2/L&T/QM (perhaps L&T in particular since it actually had guardians and QM being so recent)

93 or whatever maybe buys you another mil or few, wouldn’t change the big picture

This is the right answer. The mcu is just lucky they put out so many crowd pleasers over the years where a movie like this can still open to 110-120m. Quality matters.

I posed this question to her and she said, "I don't really know, it just looked interesting. It wasn't one particular thing."

Personally I just think the trailers are really appealing to most audience’s, they just have a good tone and both look really exciting on a big screen.

The reason given is so much worse. Fight story only makes sense if you don't have such a distracting moment, there were a million other ways it could have been done without implicating Superman

Maybe he realizes he screwed up, or he fights Zod instead of posing, or you don't focus on the collapsing garage. So many ways the scene would not have stood out.

Oliva is another one I never need to hear from again.

There's a difference between being the root cause and being so stuck on one particular interpretation that you refuse to accept anything else. Snyder fans have long since devolved into parody and so deserve to be humiliated for their stupidity.

I love MoS, will defend most things from that movie as well (except Pa Kent dying, that was stupid). I love the potential Cavill had as Superman which he never got to fully show off. But that doesn't mean I'm not willing to move on and see if something better happens.

This is the thing a lot of people forget as well, there are many fans like you and I that love MOS but also hate how everything else was handled after.

I’ve long since moved on from Snyder, I wish his fans would be as dedicated to his Netflix movies as they are to being toxic towards Gunn and DC.

From what I’ve seen, that particular tweet that was shared was in response to the controversy over Superman killing Zod. That person wasn’t arguing that Superman shouldn’t be allowed to saved the day, which is what he does in MoS anyway. Just that there’s nothing wrong with him having to make difficult decisions.

Of course, it looks like that account has made some rather pot-stirring comments regarding DC and James Gunn, so they’re not exactly innocent, but that particular tweet seems fairly mild.

I don’t even look into this stuff, I’ve seen that name before and know they’re an idiot so I have no doubts they’ve said a bunch of stupid things about Gunn/DC so again, I ignore most of the stuff and just laugh at other stuff I see shared here or on twitter without having to engage with any of them.

You could simply ignore them? I’m not sure what the point is in engaging in so much negativity.

I literally have almost anyone blocked on Twitter who comes up and talks about Snyder so I do ignore them but it’s not my place to tell others what to do and because they’re so toxic I don’t feel bad when posts are shared of them looking like complete idiots.
