  1. Any idea on what Encanto is looking at OW, I’m hoping enough for a total to get it to 100m.
  2. @RobrtmanAStarWarsReference I just got Shining Pearl about eight hours ago and it’s great. The grand underground is so fun.
  3. Neat, my theater is also including vaccine required screenings for films too. Ghostbusters Afterlife and King Richard are the two next week. Will definitely give it a go if one is available for NWH.
  4. Tomorrow. I’m so ready for the nostalgia to overtake me, when I’m done with college for the day, I’m heading straight over to witness it.
  5. I mean sure but he’s most definitely more known to the GA than say Shang Chi or Eternals or tbh even Captain Marvel pre MCU.
  6. Despite my disappointment in general, this does seem like it’ll be yuge. I’m curious on how far it will go OW-wise, especially considering the fact that Marcus Cinemas in my state which is the biggest chain there is doing actual matinees. Any box office trackers have anyone seen something similar to that on your end?
  7. I mean, I hated FFH and think Homecoming is okay. With Watts being arguably the least talented MCU director, I’m here for Tobey, Andrew and the villains. It’s sad I need nostalgia to be hyped for this, I’m mean I’m still excited to them, I’m just talking about being hyped for an MCU Spider-Man film. If this doesn’t work, there’s always next October for a stylish Spider Verse movie.
  8. It seems like the Marcus Theaters in my state have bought back morning matinees (ie 10 am to 12 pm showings), which is good as they are the biggest theaters in my state. I’m not sure if this is just for the Thanksgiving weekend but this is a good thing for the upcoming Christmas slate at my theater especially Sing 2, Matrix 4, and of course No Way Home. This is a good thing as it allows more showings for films. Anyone else’s theaters bringing back matinees?
  9. I mean I accepted the fact that when Disney got 25% of the profits and Feige said the marketing was more even or something verbatim, the two probably won’t show up for “fan surprise”. I think they’re throwing away money for a bigger OW and a slightly bigger total if they don’t do at least a direct tease.
  10. It could just be a Madagascar 3 type deal.
  11. I mean I get it from a fan perspective it seems less special and less eventful but it probably wouldn’t matter as much for the GA if all Spider-Mans being revealed or at the minimum a tease of someone else slinging a web on the side of the screen. If anything, it’ll get them more mobilized for the theater or make it more eventful as they’ll be water cooler shot. I think in the long run there’s a ceiling on how large legs can go for this film as despite holiday legs, it’ll be more akin to the Star Wars films than the Jumanjis for legs even with a diluted OW and in the long run, I think a larger OW and larger total is better for everyone.
  12. Sure there’s other villains with nostalgia but the vast majority of the GA isn’t aware of the existence of said sell. And the sell is bigger than any old villain returning. Without that, it more or less looks like a normal Spider-Man movie but the old villains are back. And while one can argue, maybe better WOM there’s only so much one can do with limited showings and a lot of films vying for screen space. This will likely lose PLFs and Imax to Matrix.
  13. Like this isn’t like Endgame where hiding it works, you’re not showing your biggest sell. It may lead to better WOM maybe but like you’re missing out on a bigger OW and likely a bigger total.
