  1. I mean, we literally just had Bad Boys 3 do a $70M 4 day OW, like I’m not denying it’ll likely see a dip from 2019 but I do think the hits will be more widespread.
  2. I mean, Fallen Kingdom had a decent drop, and it’s not like there was division between the GA. It’s more of an AOU size drop.
  3. @cayommagazine Attached to Gateways
  4. Top 10 of 2021 - OW/DOM/WW Avatar 2 - $165M/$650M/$2.5B Thor: Love and Thunder - $175M/$450M/$1.15B Jurassic World 3 - $160M/$455M/$1.4B The Little Mermaid? (If November 21) - $115M/$400M/$1.2B The Batman - $125M/$375M/$1B Spider-Man 3 - $135M/$375M/$1.05B Strange 2 - $115M/$325M/$900M Shang Chi - $110M/$300M/$925M The Matrix - $125M/$300M/$850M Twocide - $100M/$265M/$700M Furious 10 does a run similar to Fate ($220M/$1.2B) Vivo breaks out with a $200M DOM gross Beasts 3 sees a big drop, Black Adam does around $175-$190M
  5. As stressors of the year have already started for me, I begun to think of next year’s upcoming box office. 2020 while likely won’t be as big as 2019, it’s definitely more interesting. 2021 seems to be the year going back to status quo. Will Jimbo reclaim his title as box office king? Will Papa Feige rule once more? Will Indiana Jones even come out next year? Discuss your thoughts here.
  6. It does bode well a bit for SCOOB! but WAG has failed one too many times. Though I’m much more optimistic about it than Spongebob 3 which’ll do around the same as the first ($80M DOM) and Artemis Fowl which is dying.
  7. Hot Damn at Bad Boys. $70M 4 Day?! Would’ve thunk? yeah I’m more optimistic oh the former now.
  8. Update: - I should have a draft of Toons ready tomorrow - If finished, I’ll go on to making some fillers (Zatanna, Statham/Ridley Futball arena action thriller, maybe a comedy with effort) - Then I’ll begin the process of making an outline/draft of GLCH all in the span of two weeks. - Then whatever else I want.
  9. You’re literally doing the same thing right now, about people repeating the same point of view over and over. I literally never said anything about Joker until now and all I said were two things about it, I said I dislike but was glad for others who liked it and that maybe others who disliked it have reasons other than fandom, in fact that’s basically true when talking about any other tentpoles here, there’s either two crowds, you're either a superfan or a shitty hater from the rival studio. It’s the same reason why that Scorsese shit is annoying, where fans vilified a director cause he didn’t like a movie. Hell, I stay mostly in CAYOM cause of that shit. I do agree about the repetition stuff but what do you except. Yes, I’m not denying people saying “they don’t like Joker” repeatedly doesn’t get boring but it’s an Oscar thread, there’s other films being discussed too y’know and some people don’t like the same films. Joker isn’t the first blockbuster where some people dislike it on the site, and it won’t be the last. That’s just my two senses, I’m too tired to argue right now and have some work I’d like to finish.
  10. Like there’s not a single CBM on my top 15 this year (2019), but the MCU/DC bullshit has made it harder to discuss films on here with being labeled as a fanboy/shill/hater/etc. As for Joker, I personally think it’s one of the worst films of 2019, but if others enjoyed it, I’m at least glad they enjoyed it.
  11. Both MCU and DCEU (in addition to like numerous other brands) fanboys (not fans, cause fans aren’t compulsive about the competition’s films nor do they give a shit if others don’t like a movie) are utter garbage with their IMDB like behavior and the sole reason why the quality of this site and many members of the forums have left. The only difference between the fanboys on here is what brand they stan.
  12. Is it possible to not be a MCU/DCU fan if you thought Joker was garbage?
  13. Hoops 3 Studio: Infinite Studios Release Date: 3/24/Y7 Genre: Sports/Dramedy Director: Charles Stone III Rating: PG-13 Budget: $18M Theater Count: 2,879 Format: 2D Runtime: 100 minutes Previous Films: Hoops 2 (Y6) OW/DOM/WW - $7,682,970/$27,002,111 / $41,760,120 Hoops (Y4) DOM/WW - $34,590,068/$49,340,227 Cast: Giannis Antetokounmpo as Troy Johnson LeBron James as Jayson Jameson Troy, both famous player on the NBA team of the Milwaukee Bucks and beloved community member and head of a recreational center, must face his biggest challenge yet, as not only must he face the biggest game of his life but deal with his cousin, Jayson who’s trying to go straight after being imprisoned.
  14. I hope to finish Toons by the end of the week, and an outline of GLCH done by next weekend. Then a draft of it posted by Super Bowl at the earliest or VD at the latest.
  15. I’d also ask to be added to the tracking team, though I was never as consistent. But I did try and hopefully in the future, I’ll be more active.
  16. Aster wouldn’t fit in the Disney/Marvel mold at all. Unless they make it R rated, which we know won’t happen.
  17. @cayommagazine Animal Logic and WhatAToon, Endless’ adult animation division team up for Afterlife, an action thriller that takes place seven years after the rapture, as an assassin and Jesus team up to end the war and kill the Antichrist. The project is said to be rated R, as Zach Snyder is to direct.
  18. I know. I think everyone knows that a film is a team effort. I mean it’s obvious Feige has his fingerprints on all of the films, it’s been obvious since back in 2014 when they had films from 2028 planned, but for films like for example Black Panther, there’s obvious reason for seeing Coogler’s films, it seems obvious he had more of a presence. It felt a bit more unique to me than the other MCU films despite having a lot of the same elements, and a lot of other CBMs, which is why it’s one of my favorites CBMs and one of my favorite movies. I never said they were bad films or even that producer based films are bad, even Civil War which is like the worst of the Phase 3 films can be enjoyable, it just seems to me that the ones were it feels like the director had more of a presences tends to be the ones I like the most. I’m not saying the MCU is a cancer to the film industry, I’m just saying those tend to be the MCU movies I like the most.
  19. From strongest to weakest: Black Panther > Guardians V2 > Ragnarok > Infinity War > Endgame > Ant Man 2 > Doctor Strange >>> Captain Marvel = FFH = Homecoming >>> Civil War Personally, the MCU films have been much better when it’s more of the director’s film than Feige’s.
  20. If Derrickson left over creative differences, what makes you think that Disney or Fiege would work well with Aster?
  21. @cayommaagazine In an shocking turn of events, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller decide to direct Toons v Reality, which there were originally going to write and produce. As McKay was busy managing Endless Animation. Toons marchs into theaters November 3rd, Y7.
