  1. @cayommagazine Sequel mania hits Endless, as the studio marks down two tentpoles for Y8. JustIn Lin will return to direct Off-Road 2 NuGrounds which will arrive in theaters May Y8. Denzel Washington is also confirmed to return, as the studio shows a synopsis: ”After the events of Off-Road, Henry and the gang have been working for the United States government, racing in badass multipurpose cars. However, things turn bad when it seems the crew is seemingly set up and framed for a botch job involving codes that’ll control any electronic. On the run and desperate to stop the reformed NuSource, which is now called NuGrounds from enacting a plot for world domination on the run from NuGrounds agents and the FBI. To make matters worse, NuGrounds’ top assassin is Jonas Rivett (Denzel Washington), missing legendary racer and Henry’s father.” Chad Stahelski returns for Green Arrow: Countdown, which is confirmed to be R-rated. Count Vertigo alongside Sportsmaster and Cupid are confirmed to be the main villains as Artemis is confirmed to be Arrow’s sidekick.
  2. Same, my family is as GA as it comes and out of all the trailers we saw with TROS, Mulan was the one they were most interested in.
  3. I got to ask, how will the Coronavirus effect films in the first half of 2020 like Mulan, Bond, Widow, and F9?
  4. Birds of Prey (7 days before previews, 8 before release) North Shore Cinema Mequon, WI 2/6/20 6:00 - 15/301 9:30 - 5/301 11:30 - 0/147 Comparisons: None are available Not going to lie for a CBM, this is a rather tepid start, maybe it’ll drum it more business through next week.
  5. The rise of CG animation started with Pixar’s Toy Story, one of the films such as Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and The Beast showed that animated films can be blockbusters, grossing $191M domestically and the biggest film of 1995. At the same time, an angry Katzenberg fired from Disney by Michael Eisner, got a huge settlement and teamed up with Steven Spielberg and made Dreamworks. The animation arm was poised to be a direct competitor to Dreamworks, the first films were the CGI Antz which was the first film due to the Eisner beef and Bug’s Life and grossed $90M DOM, the hand drawn The Prince of Egypt which was the second non Disney animation to gross over $100M DOM, the flop The Road to El Dorado and Aardman co-production Chicken Run which also grossed over $100M DOM and still the biggest stop motion movie ever. Then came Shrek, which went through development hell and multiple versions such as a traditional animated film to a live action/CGI hybrid, and went for a full CGI film. The project was huge risk but had a huge pay-off, the film was a critical darling at 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, exploded and made $42.3M on its opening weekend, then the second weekend jumped 0.3% on Memorial Day Weekend making $42.5M for the three day and $55.2M for the four day, as it ended with a total of $267.7 million domestically, along with $216.7 million overseas, for a worldwide total of $484.4 million, becoming the fourth biggest film of 2001, behind only Monsters Inc, Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter. Shrek also won the first ever Academy Award for Best Animated Feature The sequel, Shrek 2, also was an unprecedented breakout and was widely regarded as one of the best sequels, was met with immense hype and moved to a five day weekend, grossing $21M for the Wednesday and Thursday which was deemed as disappointing at first but then exploded more. It scored the 2nd biggest, 3 day opening weekend in U.S. history and the largest opening for an animated film at the time of its release at $108M, and ended its run at $441.2 million domestically and $478.6 million in foreign markets for a total of $919.8 milion worldwide, making it the biggest film in 2004 as it lost it’s worldwide record to Toy Story 3 in 2010 but kept the domestic record for 12 years until Finding Dory overtook. The success of Shrek alongside Pixar cause a wave of CG animation to hit the market as well as more imitations trying to cash in on Shrek’s successors that even Disney tried with Chicken Little. Discuss yo’ thoughts.
  6. @cayommagazine Jaeden Martell (IT: Chapter One, IT: Chapter Two) will join the cast of Endless’ Total Drama as Mike/Mal.
  7. @cayommagazine Endless Animation has begun development on Cosmic 3000. Much like My Peoples, Can You Imagine? and Medusa, this’ll be the fourth revived animation project from the studio. Cosmic 3000 will also incorporate Worldmeander technology giving the film an aesthetic similar to Klaus and Treasure Planet. Dean DeBlois (How To Train Your Dragon 2, How to Train Your Dragon 3) is confirmed to direct the project as Ncuti Gatwa (Netflix’s Sex Education) and Jimmy Tatro (Thirsty, 22 Jump Street) are set to star as the leads.
  8. Either that or Universal is selling F9 as a two parter. Which I wouldn’t be surprised if it was true.
  9. So... a watered down Taxi Driver with a solid performance from Phoenix. C-
  10. No it’s the one where she’s trying to get the Fast Boxes to open a portal from hell to save Han.
  11. @cayommagazine F. Gary Gray to helm Lyrical, a new version of another cancelled Endless Entertainment project; Bullets and Lyrics, to theaters Holiday Y7. Shamiek Moore (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, Dope) and Zendaya (Spider-Man: Far From Home, Dune) will star as the leads for the project as the studio is still searching for a songwriter.
  12. No one started the Marvel/DC fanboy war as I believe this shit has gone back way before some people here were born. Fanboys are just louder in certain timeframes and adapted to new molds such as film or TV or in some cases directors/universes (Nolan stans/Snyder stans/MCU stans/etc). Both sets of fanboys are equally awful and fanboys in general ruin everything for the fans. Cause fans don’t really give a shit about whose brand is bigger, or if someone dislikes movies they like or attack others.
  13. It started with both. Both sides of fanboys are equally awful, needing to use their self important pissing contest and scream it as loud as possible, but you see one side more obnoxiously shouting during “good” times despite they’re two sides of the same coin (DC for the Nolan period, MCU for IW/Endgame/Scorsese stuff and likely DC again for the Joker Oscar run and likely MCU again when a film does good, and so and so forth). Both sides have ruined my joy and compassion for CBMs and are a cancer to their respective fandom.
  14. @cayommagazine Emma MacKay (Sex Education) has signed on in The Phoenix Saga as the deuteragonist. Xavier B Irving, chose her primarily because of her role in Sex Education, finding her to be a great actress and the perfect role.
  15. I have returned to track, cause of Sonic and a bit more time this semester, these movies will get a North Shore Cinema round up: Birds of Prey Sonic The Hedgehog Fantasy Island Onward Mulan
  16. I’m actually starting to think Spongebob 2 numbers but more spread out: $50M OW $60M 4 day $165M DOM $340M WW
  17. @cayommagazine In addition to The Phoenix Saga, Endless Entertainment is also bringing back Bionicle. The Y2 Peter Jackson film, despite making over $100M DOM, was a critical failure and a flop. This go around, Guillermo Del Toro is attached to write and direct the project. The film is still set to be entirely motion capture animated and at least a PG-13 rating. The untitled Bionicle reboot will hit theaters November Y8.
  18. @cayommagazine Ava DuVernay is slated to write and direct the first film of Endless’ long struggled with passion project: The Phoenix Saga. Reports also decree that Yara Shahidi (Academy Award nominated Thirsty, Two Lonely Bounty Hunters) will play Zora, the main protagonist.
  19. @cayommagazine Nothing ever truly dies. #ThePhoenixSaga Y8
  20. @cayommagazine Endless Animation has greenlight three upcoming animated features as well as found a director for the upcoming Luigi’s Mansion which is tentatively looking at a Y10 release date. - Former Pixar animator Carlos Beana (The Tiger’s Apprentice, La Noira) will make his CAYOM debut and direct Luigi’s Mansion - Pete Docter’s next film Create, which is said to tackle the realms beyond our comprehension , and what happens if we were able to access it. - Soulmates, which although is looking for a director is being scripted by Sofia Alvarez (Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) is a romantic comedy in where upon the age of 16, people are assigned their perfect match, however when one couple proves to be incompatible, they’ll do what ever it takes to break said bond before they’re forced to be together forever. - An adaptation of the popular anime, Little Witch Academia is currently in the works and is looking at a Christmas Y8 release date.
  21. I like to release my rights for the following: Kid Icarus Dragon Ball
