  4. It will be different but more in line with the first film. Completely completely different than the second and third films.
  5. @cayommagazine "Miguel Bernardeau (Eli), Camila Mendes (Grace), and Alvaro Rico (Jaime), announced to be leads in Poison and Wine spin-off Affluent Millennials. The film is set to open February Year 5. The plot is centered around Eli the minor character in Poison and Wine who clashes with Tyler and Hunter. The film will be set at the elite McClennan University and unveil dark secrets of the school. Film director, Tate Taylor has stated that Casey Cott will return but has not yet announced if Colton Haynes will return. He has stated the film will be much more darker, grounded, and less risqué than Poison and Wine. He described it as a dark "who-did-it" thriller.
  6. That was my point all along. The Conjuring's biggest strength is its low budgets. The Nun is a huge success commercially (that is a fact). Its reception is poor but most people will chalk that up to it being a solo misfire not a misfire of the entire series. Future films (with the exception of a possible Nun 2) will not feel any impact or backlash. Yes, The Nun will see bad legs but its gonna rake in that cash.
  7. I have just been hearing 50% drops on Sunday. Friday-$22.4M Saturday-$17.0M (-24.1%) Sunday- $9.3M (45.3% Weekend- $48.7M Total- $102.6M I am thinking word of mouth is gonna be toxic. Already my Facebook feed is flooded with negative statuses about the film. People turned out big opening day but I think its gonna see some harsh falls.
  8. Glad the reviews are good. Now can it break the YA box office curse of $5-$15 million opening weekend?

  10. I think it will go wide....seems to have a more broad appeal than Call Me By Your Name. It won't be a huge wide release but a moderate 1,000 to 1,500 theater one.
  11. This doesn't look good to me and I am not a fan of the Predator series but I am hoping this can open over $30M opening weekend. September is gonna be a lot of lost ground since we don't have It.
  12. I am not seeing this breaking out. Its locked for that predictable $10-$15M opening weekend range these things normally open with. $13.5M/$36.8M
  13. Disney won't let this miss $100M just like they did for A Wrinkle in Time. They will find a way to shove it over $100.
  14. The Nun should end this weekend with $47-$48 million at max. I think it will get over $100 due to the lack of competition. It will be even with the other Conjuring Universe films and Warner Bros will not do the Nun 2. The Nun will be a standalone film in the series. See that is the strength of the Conjuring Extended Universe. Unlike, DC, Marvel, and Harry Potter Extended Universes, the Conjuring isn't based on established property, has a cheaper budget, and is more loosely structured. This makes it super adaptable to failures in building its universe. Smart move by Warner Brothers. They really pulled off the extremely hard job of pulling off an extended universe. Other studios should take notes.

We see Satan in his holy glory. He and the Archangel Michael are close friends. Satan however desires to be like God so he rebels. This breaks his friendship with Michael. An Angelic War over Heaven is is the result of this rebellion. Satan's rebellion followers engage is a epic large-scale warfare between the angels lead by Michael. This battle takes place over three days. Finally God intervenes and single-handedly defeats the entire legion of angelic rebels and banishes them from Heaven. Satan and the other rebellious angels are hurtled into Hell. In Pandæmonium (Satan's capital within Hell), Satan employs his rhetorical skills to organize his followers in a defeat of God and the angels; he is aided by Mammon and Beelzebub. Belial and Moloch are also present. When they hear of the creation of man they all caste lots to who will go and destroy God's new and most favored creation. Satan volunteers to go. Satan braves the dangers of the Abyss (between Hell and earth) alone. After an arduous traverse of the Chaos outside Hell, he enters God's new material World, and later the Garden of Eden. Following the purging of Heaven, God creates the World, culminating in his creation of Adam and Eve. While God gave Adam and Eve total freedom and power to rule over all creation, He gave them one explicit command: not to eat from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil on penalty of death. The film shows Adam and Eves life in the Garden of Eden and their relationship with God. Adam and Eve have a full relationship while still being without sin. They are the ideal Godly couple. They have passions and distinct personalities and these are shown throughout the film. Adam is bold and devoted while Eve is cheerful and affectionate. The film climaxes with Satan disguised in the form of a serpent successfully tempting Eve to eat from the Tree by preying on her vanity and tricking her with rhetoric. Adam learns that Eve has sinned so he knowingly commits the same sin. He tells Eve that since she was made from his flesh, they are bound to one another so that if she dies, he must also die. After eating the fruit, Adam and Eve have lustful sex, and at first Adam is convinced that Eve was right in thinking that eating the fruit would be beneficial. However they soon fall asleep and have terrible nightmares and after they awake, they experience guilt and shame for the first time. Realizing that they have committed a terrible act against God, they engage in recrimination, which eventually leads to Adam beating Eve physically. Adam shocked at what he has done flees. Eve finds him and she tells him that she forgives him. Her faithfulness to Adam gives Adam strength and boldness to enables approach God. Before approaching God, Adam encounters Michael who decides to give Adam a glimpse of humanities future. Adam is shown everything in history. The Great Flood, Mose leading the exodus of Egypt, King David, Rome's creation, Jesus's death, Rome's fall, Papacy, Renaissance, Colonization, WWI, WW2, and the vast future beyond. Adam is very upset by this vision of humankind's future, which is utterly dark and bleak. Michael also tells him about humankind's potential redemption from original sin through Jesus Christ. Adam and Eve confront God who casts them out of the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve now have a distant relationship with God, who is omnipresent but invisible. The film ends with them building a home and planting crops. The film ends with a narration about humanities future.
  20. Leviathan Date- October 2nd Genre- Adventure Rating- PG-13 Theaters- 3,604 Budget- 105 million Running Time- 110 minutes or 1 hour and 50 minutes Studio- O$corp Pictures Director- Guy Ritchie Actors and Actresses- Deryn- Emma Watson Prince Alek- Nicholas Hoult Wildcount Volger- Chris Cooper Dr. Nora Darwin Barlow- Pauley Perrette Plot: It is the cusp of World War I, and all the European powers are arming up. The Austro-Hungarians and Germans have their Clankers, steam-driven iron machines loaded with guns and ammunition. The British Darwinists employ fabricated animals as their weaponry. Their Leviathan is a whale airship, and the most masterful beast in the British fleet. Aleksandar Ferdinand, prince of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, is on the run. His own people have turned on him. His title is worthless. All he has is a battle-torn Stormwalker and a loyal crew of men.Deryn Sharp is a commoner, a girl disguised as a boy in the British Air Service. She's a brilliant airman. But her secret is in constant danger of being discovered. With the Great War brewing, Alek's and Deryn's paths cross when the airship carrying Deryn is forced to crash-land onto a glacier near Alek's mountain hideout. German perusal forces them to make hasty repairs and takes them both aboard the Leviathan on a fantastical, around-the-world adventure. Meanwhile, Deryn is staying with her brother Jaspert in London. Her father died in a ballooning accident and her mother and aunts want her to grow up as a proper lady. Deryn dreams of joining the British Air Service and to serve on one of the great airbeasts. In order to do so, she must pretend to be a boy ("Dylan Sharp"). To pass the starting exam, she goes aloft with a Huxley (a combination of jellyfish and hot-air-balloon) to prove her air-worthiness. However, a storm hits while she is aloft, severely tossing Deryn and the Huxley about, and they narrowly survive—she is forced to cut the Huxley loose from its mooring in order to avoid crashing into a nearby building. This results in Deryn and the Huxley being blown out over the North Sea; she is thrilled when she and the Huxley are rescued by the Leviathan, the most famous of the air-beasts, a massive ecosystem comprising many different animals but based largely on a whale. She is inducted into the crew of the Leviathan, and makes friends with the Monkey Luddite Newkirk. The Leviathan's mission is to transport a top British scientist (“boffin”) and a secret package to Constantinople. Deryn is surprised to learn the boffin is a woman, Dr. Nora Barlow, and is afraid Barlow will discover her secret. In the air over Europe, the Leviathan comes under attack from German airplanes. The crew fights back and manages to defeat the planes, but not before the great whale’s hydrogen bladder is severely punctured. The airship crash-lands in Switzerland on the very glacier where Alek’s group is hiding. Alek and Volger witness the crash, but Volger insists they do nothing to interfere, as they will risk giving away their position to the Germans or being captured by the British. Alek is unable to stomach letting the crew of the Leviathan suffer out on the ice, and secretly leaves the fortress to bring medicine to the crew of the fallen ship. The first person he finds is an unconscious Deryn, who had fallen from the rigging during the crash. Alek revives her and claims unconvincingly to be a Swiss villager. Deryn is suspicious of him and sounds the alarm, resulting in Alek’s capture. Alek continues to insist he is just a bystander trying help, but the captain refuses to release him and instead leaves him under Deryn’s charge. The secret cargo brought by Dr. Barlow is revealed to be eggs of some kind, though most were destroyed in the crash. Alek's "family" comes to his rescue, and battle would have erupted between the two if Deryn's quick thinking in bringing Alek to the front and holding him as a hostage hadn't brought everyone to the table to talk under a flag of truce. Realizing their differences are outweighed by their similarities, Alek offers a sizable chunk from their food storage so the ship can replenish its hydrogen supply and take off again. However, as they travel back to the Leviathan, two German zeppelins appear and send out commandos to capture them. Unfortunately, one of the zeppelins escapes, and the Stormwalker is severely damaged by an aerial bomb, making it impossible to stand up and repair. Thanks to the diplomacy of Dr. Barlow and a bright idea from Alek, the two groups decide to combine their technologies and leave together as one group. Alek also admits his true origins to Deryn/Dylan and Dr. Barlow when he realizes he let a few too many things slip. The Austrians dismantle the Stormwalker and use its engines to replace those lost by the Leviathan. The Austrian engines prove to be much more powerful than its previous ones, propelling them quickly away from danger and the deadly Herkules (Clanker Ship). In the aftermath, Dr. Barlow reveals information about a fabricated ship in England that was sold to the Ottoman Empire but then taken back (even though it was paid in full) by Winston Churchill, thus creating rivalry among the British and the Ottomans. The film closes with the Leviathan continuing its flight towards Constantinople with Alek watching the mysterious eggs that will hatch into some unknown fabricated species.

  22. The Female Man Date- May 8th Genre- Sci-Fi Rating- PG-13 Theaters- 3,393 theaters Budget- 100 million Running Time- 118 minutes or 1 hour and 58 minutes Studio- O$corp Pictures Director- Ava Duvernay Actors and Actress- Janet- Jessica Chastain Jeannine- Constance Wu Joanna- Kate Mara Plot: The film begins when Janet Evason suddenly arrives in Jeannine Dadier’s world. Janet is from Whileaway, a futuristic world where a plague killed all of the men over 800 years ago, and Jeannine lives in a world that never experienced the end of the Great Depression. Janet finds Jeannine at a Chinese New Year festival and takes her to Joanna’s world. Joanna comes from a world that is beginning its feminist movement. Acting as a guide, Joanna takes Janet to a party in her world to show her how women and men interact with each other. Janet quickly finds herself the object of a man’s attention, and after he harasses her, Janet knocks the man down and mocks him. Because Joanna’s world believes that women are inferior to men, everyone is shocked. Janet expresses her desire to experience living with a typical family so Joanna takes Janet to the Wildings’ household. Janet meets their daughter Laura Rose who instantly admires Janet’s confidence and independence as a woman. Laura realizes that she is attracted to Janet and begins to pursue a sexual relationship with her. This is transgressive for both of them, as Whileaway's taboo against cross-generational relationships (having a relationship with someone old enough to be your parent or child) is as strong as the taboo against same-sex relationships on Laura's world. The film then follows Jeannine and Joanna as they accompany Janet back to Whileaway. They meet Vittoria, Janet’s wife, and stay at their home. Joanna finds herself under scrutiny when Vittoria uses a story about a bear trapped between two worlds as a metaphor for her life. Jeannine returns to her world with Joanna, and they both go to vacation at her brother’s house. Jeannine’s mother pesters her about her love life and whether she is going to get married soon. Jeannine goes on a few dates with some men but still finds herself dissatisfied. Jeannine begins to doubt her sense of reality, but soon decides that she wants to assimilate into her role as a woman. She calls Cal and agrees to marry him. Joanna, Jeannine, Janet, and Laura are lounging in Laura's house. Laura tries to glorify Janet’s status in Whileaway, but Janet explains that her world does not value her particularly, but chose her as inter-dimensional explorer because she was more expendable than others. At 3 a.m., Joanna comes down, unable to sleep, and finds Jeannine and Janet awake as well. Suddenly they are no longer at Laura’s house but in another world. Joanna, Jeannine, and Janet have arrived in Jael’s world, which is experiencing a 40-year old war between male and female societies. Jael explains that she works for the Bureau of Comparative Ethnology, an organization that concentrates on people’s various counterparts in different parallel worlds. She reveals that she is the one who brought all of them together because they are essentially four versions of the same woman. Jael takes all of them with her into enemy territory because she appears to be negotiating a deal with one of the male leaders. At first, the male leader appears to be promoting equality, but Jael quickly realizes that he still believes in the inferiority of women. Jael reveals herself as a ruthless assassin, kills the man, and shuttles all of the women back to her house. Jael finally tells the other women why she has assembled all of them. She wants to create bases in the other women’s worlds without the male society knowing and eventually empower women to overthrow oppressive men and their gender roles for women. In the end, Jeannine and Joanna agree to help Jael and assimilate the women soldiers into their worlds, but Janet refuses, given the overall pacifism of Whileaway. Jeannine and Joanna appear to have become stronger individuals and are excited to rise up against their gender roles. Janet is not moved by Jael’s intentions so Jael tells Janet that the reason for the absence of men on Whileaway is not because of a plague but because the women won the war and killed all of the men in its timeline's past. Janet refuses to believe Jael, and the other women are annoyed at Janet’s resistance. The film ends with the women separating and returning to their worlds, each with a new perspective on her life, her world, and her identity as a woman.
