I am hoping Public Eye can be a Middle America hit and make 100M+

It seems like everybody is releasing a film with a LGBT storyline in Y2. I love it but dammit that is my thing!

It is a passion projection. FYI. I just want to get it out there and I am praying for good reception. Also @cookie you gotta remember this film isn't exactly like every other horror film being released. I think it will stand out..with the cast and story. Gotta remember these films have marketing as well.

@spaghetti! and @cookie I am not expecting The Academy to be a 100M+ grosser. Frankly 60M-100M is the range I want it to make domestic. Horror comedies are hard to appeal to the GA (look at Cabin in the Woods). It isn't so in your face as other controversial films I have made. It is digestible for the GA but still makes them think. Okay I might enter spoiler territory but it targets the issue how rich white men tend to get away with shit that most people would not get away with. Its message is positive but at the same time very twisted. I would say the closest film comparison is The Heathers. It is Heathers meets Scream meets Mean Girls.

That is true. I really want it to do well...hence being the #1 on my Top 25 I am hoping Academy can be the White Hurricane of September....but that might be too positive since most people on here dislike my story telling and desire to be controversial .

I am debating if I should make Academy R or PG-13....anybody willing to pre-read it? I just want one person though haha. Also I want to do the CAYOM Festival! Everybody submits one film to me and I send them to three non-CAYOM individuals to read. They give their review and I post it. Yay or nay? Happens before Part 1 begins.

White Hurricane will open with 35M-40M and have a 160M-170M finish. I don't see it as a big opener but having very long legs as word of mouth develops.

I have had the opposite luck I am hoping Public Eye can have a decent run, Haunting in WI can breakout on the Friday the 13th weekend, Whale can hit 100M because it is something different, and Hidden World can top 225M because it is the first blockbuster of Year 1 holiday season.

The change is because the studio felt the film would do better during the fall season since the film's story takes place in the fall. "The cadets at Norwich Military Academy are ruled with an iron-first by First Captain Alex (Harry Styles) and his friends Nick (Dylan O'Brien) and Pete (Louis Tomlinson). Their rule however is threatened by 1SG Rouse (Jodie Foster) who seeks to bring political correctness, diversity, and change to Norwich. All hell is broken loose when a killer begins to wreck chaos at the academy. Everybody is a suspect and everybody has a motive." The cast is below. Solid for Agents. Hoping it can top 125M domestic. Waiting for my breakout film of Year 1...hoping it is Hidden World

Academy isn't moving. It is 50/50 between horror and comedy. It can survive the competition because it will be seen as unique and fresh. Plus is has a well known cast and is a major tentpole film. Screwtape isn't really horror plus it can rely on Christian audiences to turn out to see it.
