The news is surely not exciting , but actually kind of good. That is longer than the LEGO movie by 4 minutes. The thing is , the number of minutes of an animated movie is very important because you don't want the kids to get distracted towards the end if it is too long and boring. If the LEGO Batman movie is a giant piece of crap, WB would cut it under 100 minutes. By allowing it to go to 104 minutes, I guess the movie won't be as bad as one might think. Hopefully it is decent, that's all I can ask for.

I am confident to say it is the first time that I have seen that many posters for just one movie. Either 1) The movie is a disaster and WB goes all in to secure the opening weekend to ensure a proper start of their LEGO cinematic universe assuming the legs are all killed or 2) It is amazing and WB is super confident. Man, I would be lying if I were not excited to know the outcome LOL

" In March 2016, Daphne Yang, CEO of the film's Taiwanese co-financier CatchPlay, stated that New Regency was looking to turn the film into a franchise, since it is based on "successful Ubisoft games and would make ideal sequels."[64] Two additional films are planned, with the first sequel entering development during the production of the initial film.[65] Kurzel told Premiere that he would like to explore the Cold War in the sequel. " Is it really that hard to learn how to take off your pants BEFORE you take a dump ? If Hollywood just cannot understand what it means by "To go from A to B, you need to reach A first", then we all will just keep seeing them shitting in their pants. For Christ's sake, even a child knows there is an order of sequence in doing daily trivial things.

If they go the route of "Kick-Ass" minus the excessive violence, MMPR will probably excite a lot of people and be a huge success since they are both campy and fun and match the source material. Instead, out of all the things they can choose, they mimic Fantastic Four 2015. " It was hard to know who was more crazy... me... or everyone else. " this line from Mad Max speaks my mind. Hollywood is dead. I just don't know how the system works anymore.

Zack Snyder got trashed by two critically-acclaimed movie directors Mel Gibson and Ridley Scott. He must have felt hurt. To a director, the words of peers , directors in this case, carry more weight than the critics and general audience. And, the sad thing is he will have to go through all these once again when Justice League is out. The Snyder-bashing won't end even after he is retired. http://www.cosmicbooknews.com/content/ridley-scott-f-bombs-batman-vs-superman

A month ago, if you had told me Ass Creed made around 10 million less than Warcraft in DOM, I would have totally called you out for being a maniac. For Warcraft, they had absolutely no STAR. For Ass Creed, they at least had a bunch of respectable stars... I cannot believe it is really happening. 2016 is just stupidly full of surprises.

Predictions for 2018 movies(Hollywood or domestic)
WeneedtotalkaboutKevin replied to Olive's topic in China At The Box Office
Sigh...BvS really sank the whole DCEU ship in China even though I personally liked it. For people living in China, do you think the Chinese will hate BvS enough that JL in china will gross less than BvS in china? Does LEGO Batman movie have a shot there? -
Alien: Covenant | 5/19/2017 | Who needs mystery?
WeneedtotalkaboutKevin replied to Neo's topic in Box Office Discussion
That's the very beauty of irony and it shows how absurd it is to have a billion-dollar studio spend millions of dollar on film projects of which no one even cares to check the freaking scripts. -
Alien: Covenant | 5/19/2017 | Who needs mystery?

At least, Prometheus tried to be philosophical and asked some serious questions though it didn't succeed. Alien 5 looks like a straight-up slasher film or a remake of Alien 1979. -

Prometheus trailer is arguably better than this alien trailer. Better sharp cuts, much more intense without spoiling much. Better use of music. The way I see it, Fox has a turkey and is trying real hard to cover it up and has us believe it is not so. -

But, Fox sandwiched it between GOTG 2 and POTC 5. They must have a lot of confidence. It can't be another Prometheus, right? .....right!? -
I have no agenda other to see the films in their best possible form. Especially the batman movie. The character really means a lot to me. Live by night being trashed by critics is an objective fact and Ben having his ego problem is my subjective supposition which you don't need to agree on. I just want to make something positive out of the situation and move on and look to the future from a brighter side. I don't know what's wrong with that.

Trying to stay optimistic, I think Live By Night getting trashed is not that bad for the upcoming Batman movie. Sometimes, Ben is too much full of himself. The failure of Live by Night will help humble him and let him know his artistic limits and have a better and realistic vision for the Batman movie. Take a step back ,reign in your ego, climb a stair, and you will see further. I have to believe Live by Night's failure has a meaning of contributing to the greater picture. I have to. Or else, DCEU will be so void of hope and MCU/Star Wars will dominate forever.
