My top 100 list was rejected by the forum, adding further credence to my belief that the forum is both anti-Avatar and anti-Box Office.
Orwell would be proud.
If so, are you gonna lead the resistance in BOT and fight the authoritative rule and spread the gospel of Avatar ? Just like what the 12 disciples did for Christianity.
But, be careful, BIG BROTHER is watching you.

Same villain for all 4 Avatar sequels? 10 years to come up with stories for new Avatar movie and Cameron is going to throw the same fcking villain in all 4 sequels?
What makes it worse is that Sam Worthington appears to be the same protagonist in all 4 sequels. That is more concerning.
In short, A2 to A5 are probably the variations of A1. God help us all...

The fall of world tree has more emotional weight than I've ever seen inside the MCU.
When the North Korea leaders died, their people also cried a river. It looks like Avatar has the same effect on you as well.

I recently checked out Avatar in the second dimension. Damn, this series needs more fresh material than unobtainium can afford.
Na, Jimmy Boy will expand his Avatar sequels upon the OLD MATERIAL in the first one. The new cast is basically the old one (still featuring Sam Worthington as our protagonist !). Even the main villain is the same throughout the five movies.
So, you can pretty much say adios to your hopes of "fresh material".

Just done the quarterly rewatch of Avatar.
Those who say Avatar only did well because 3d are fools, it's of a different calibur than modern blockbusters.
What modern blockbusters compare? I can only think of LOTR
" quarterly rewatch of Avatar."
To me, once is more than enough.

I like how everyone in this thread instantly thinks of King Arthur upon seeing the trailer. It is like we are kind of all connected.

Power Rangers vs Transformers vs G.I.Joe are coming. You fanboys ready for this epic cinematic universe ?
Exclusive: Hasbro to acquire Power Rangers, other franchises from Saban: sources

Let's talk about Star Wars fatigue instead of Superheroes fatigue or the non-impact of Avatar.
I have a very bad feeling about the Solo solo movie. The days of Star Wars as the biggest cultural icon are already over. Marvel is the only King.

"Cameron stated that although he hasn’t done any production work on Avatar 4 and Avatar 5" ...."
http://collider.com/james-cameron-avatar-sequels-godfather/#terminator
What!? Didn't Jimmy Boy say he would shoot 4 sequels in one row. It looks like he kind of chickens out and does only Avatar 2 and 3 as of now.
"What if it was The Godfather? " The Godfather is highbrow art. Avatar is at most about blue people running around and fighting. They are in two totally different ballparks.

still playing the long game for a Quaritch cosplay... arms bigger than ever before, they grow slowly but I have plenty of time.
I can still vividly remember that at the time when Avatar was still a thing, there were a bunch of articles saying some fans learn speaking the blue people language and even build websites about it. I was like
Thinking back, @IronJimbo I wonder if you were one of them...

"The Department of Justice unleashed its harshest condemnation yet of the proposed purchase of Time Warner by AT&T when the agency revealed Wednesday that the $85 billion merger would cost consumers more than half a billion dollars per year in additional cable costs."

Will DoJ condemn the Disney-Fox deal as well when it is revealed that the merger would additionally cost movie-goers more than 5 dollars per movie ticket? Once the deal is through, Disney can literally set the price in whatever way they want.

The Fox-Disney deal is happening while the Time Warner - AT&T deal is still IN THE TOILET, waiting to flushed down by Department of Justice once and for all

Jimbo spent 3 months of full days writing the scripts with Tim and another acclaimed screen writer. It's also the being produced by lightstorm.
He's put his trust in Tim and will do everthing je can to make sure its good while respecting Tim's boundries
There are so many shitty franchises in Hollywood right now that I can literally take a dump on them and would not regret it at all.
But, I have a soft spot for Terminator...Jimmy and Timmy 'd better figure this shit out.

Do you know if Jimmy has as much clout over this reboot as Kevin (Feige) has over a MCU film? How do they compare?
I wonder if the delay is due to Jimmy.

A very insightful video about the blue-people franchise.
I sometimes wonder if Fox wanna recoup their "investment"(or losses) in Avatar sequels by selling itself to Disney.
@IronJimbo @JamesCameronScholar @Lothar thoughts?

It wasn't a cut above the rest as you would expect from Spielberg though, his power in comparison to the rest of directors isn't as big as it once was.
"the rest of directors"I am pretty sure you are referring to That One Director only. -

Troubled production ---> Poor test screening results ---> Reshoot ---> Directors fighting the studio and threatening to quit ---> Spoiler trailer to show everything the film got just to get butts to the theater ---> Dismal RT score ---> Diving second weekend drop
Can the production of DCEU movies be less predictable ? Now we are onto stage 3.
