    I was thinking the same thing. __ Today it can't top the OD since it included midnights (and probably the extra for the marathons). Matching Infinity War OD+midnights (2.9m) would be amazing.

    WTF. Sure the presales were massive especially for Italy...but 2m short from Quo Vado which opened on the first of January plus it lured in people who don’t go to the theatre not even once a year..so I’m shocked, good luck to any HW movie topping that...

    Considering a good % of Force Awakens pre sales went beyond the opening weekend (Xmas day etc...) that's yuge.

    According to Deadline sources, before Avengers: Endgame even flickers one image on a movie screen ahead of its Thursday night previews nationwide, advance domestic ticket sales for the Russo Brothers-directed Marvel sequel are estimated to be north of $120M with some figuring they’re as high as $140M.     I'll quote myself on this. Maybe that's why they're calling it "childish". I think especially the general public expects a big spectacle. Aquaman and Shazam in this aspect are total opposite IMO.

    I saw some theatres doing a Infinity War+End Game starting at 20.30PM on April 23, plus one midnight show, all gone. edit: packed shows at 10.30 AM on April 24...Italy LOL. Crazy.

    The last movie I recall with a 7 days OW was Baywatch which opened on Monday.
