    Dude, chinese didn't go through the plotless action movies of 80's, many animated movies, slasher and many other goneras which suck today. They are enjoying these action films. If american had something like maoyan, furious and tranformers will have high points, ofcourse lower than chinese 'cos they go through 100 years of cinema. Chinese didn't have star wars, terminator of the worlds. Also, these movies are easy to understand and pass through culture. And yeah, power rangers was crap.

    Best example of this is suicide squad. Had better legs than what looked on second weekend.

    It has to do with expectation. I kept hearing about best films of all time like godfather,citizen kane, arabia etc. Enjoyed every one of them but when I reached citizen kane, I was highly disappointed. And I disagree about quality part, even critics are divided on hitchhocks ' work. And I think, even the things which have been beloved for a long time should be questioned. Nothing is loved by everyone. Show any of the above films to an average indian and the reaction would be not wrong. You can not say to him he is wrong.

    You can argue about the quality of these films but not importance. There are still few films every year around the world made inspired by godfather. Birth of the nation, citizen kane (a film I despise) pave the road for how the films are made. Jaw termed the word blockbuster. Seven samurai, star wars, 2001 and many other films. And as you see I named the usual fare, not watched much old films.

    I hope tim miller gets a high budget movie. With his blur studio it will look lovely. Blur studio is the studio behind many games' cinematic trailers.

    Great writeup. Made me agree with you. I was just watching american gods and thought there is no superhero show like that while in comic books thete are many great storylines. I think I wrote that comment in frustration by not liking these superhero shows rather than logical.
