Someone can have an emotional reaction to something you don't even relate to.
People, as similar as they can be at times, are ultimately different. The consequence of which is a pretty little thing called opinions.
I marathoned the entire franchise in one night to get ready for TLK. I didn't like anyone and I skipped half of the second one. But I really loved the entire third act of the third one. Somehow I actually felt tension in a movie about characters I either downright hated or didn't really care for.
I read somewhere that movies that sincerely appealed to the female demo as much as it did males, or even more tended to be leggier because ladies tend to repeat viewings. I think I was reading about Titanic at the time.
