  1. Connelly reads as, for lack of a better term, too frail to play Wonder Woman. And my comment has zero to do with weight.
  2. It's not a big deal that Jenkins hasn't been signed on to direct a sequel yet. It will happen in time.
  3. Didn't the early numbers last weekend say that Wonder Woman would only do 32-35mil on Friday?
  4. He's a mediocre director's whose movies stopped making money. There are no Friday numbers at this point so I take Deadline's numbers with beyond a grain of salt.
  5. That number is not good for The Mummy. Universal better thank their lucky stars it broke out overseas. Also Tarzan was not competing with Wonder Woman so I don't get that comparison.
  6. It still feels like this movie will make under 200mil. I hope it does much better than that though.
  7. I liked the movie but it did terribly. Yes I know that Lionsgate might have made some money but they will lose money if they make another one.
  8. I don't think the trades had any slant really but other outlets did. I suppose I should just ignore them especially now that we have actual box office numbers. And I don't think it was some Grand conspiracy or anything. I just think that DC has gotten itself into a hole where people are Uber skeptical so they're just going to report on most stories in a negative fashion, regardless of whether they should. I do wish that we had more professionalism in movie entertainment journalism.
  9. There were a lot of outlets reporting that 65 million tracking number as if it were something that was set in stone and deeming the movie of failure before it came out.
  10. It seems like so many people were rooting on Wonder Woman to fail for some bizarre reason so it's nice that it's got good reviews and box office numbers. Happy with that 103mil number.
  11. Good opening for Wonder Woman. Wonder how high it could have gotten if it would have gotten Man of Steel's marketing campaign? Captain Underpants did fine for its budget and Pirates and Alien are done for domestically.
