  1. I will say, by far the biggest disgrace in this list of Lawrence of Arabia falling to 87. It wholly deserves a top 15 placing, but I’m guessing most people just haven’t watched it.
  2. We’ve never really seen something like JW2 to make any real guess. The 208m opening of JW was fueled by nostalgia and great WOM by the GA. There was no real hook for a sequel, the nostalgia is gone, and the overall reception has fallen off quite a bit for that movie. It could hang on to a 170m-180m opening, but it could also fall off a cliff. going off the overall domestic drop from Jurassic Park to Lost world and transferring that to OW, JW2 gets about 135m. A 70m drop off does seem high, so I’d peg it around 150-160m for now.
  3. I have also decided to check out for the time being. I think I’ll return a couple of weeks after solo haha. It’s very straining to try to explain trends and stuff there when there are so many fanboys who don’t listen to numbers haha
  4. It’s better to say that a certain portion of the audience will be automatically turned off by the movie. But the casual audiences interest is way to high to call it niche.
  5. I hope BP can hold off JW 2, so Worldwide can get 5/10 MCU in the top 10. Of course, nothing compared to top 3 being mcu in Brazil, but still an amazing achievement.
  6. I’m not here to coddle the ignorant. Also, what did I tell you about by replying to me?
  7. Disney doesn’t fail very much. Compared to other studios, they basically never fail, whereas even WB and Universal throw out stinker on the regular. So people get super excited when Disney does have a misstep.
  8. How long have you been following international box office? Or box office at all?
  9. Hint. Look at the posters in the comment to which you quoted. What do you see in them?
