Logan looks tantalizingly possible for AM&TW, but I think I’d still have to go under at the moment.

Yeah, safe to say Monday was partially inflated. AM&TW is down 35% from last week, if W+Th follow suit they’ll be 1.7M to put it at 199.5 for a 10.2ish 5th week (-30%). This is probably I2’s last non-holiday non-weekend day over 1M. It racked up an awful lot.

Previously cared about 0 categories. Now I will care about, like, half a category. So for me I guess this is good, but not as good as nominating the movies that end up here in an old category like best picture. This will probably help help stem the decline of Oscar ratings. Of saturated releases in the past dozen years, looks like the only better ones are: Inside Out Up Zootopia Jungle Book Inception American Sniper made it from 1st week of wide release->2nd week of wide release, complicated a bit by the 1st weekend being a holiday. Some that stuck out as making it with an adjusted opening of over 60 were Ted, Big Hero 6, Despicable Me, and Gravity.

Whaaaaat, actual big news in this thread? A Cavill exit will have much bigger impact on the universe than just Man of Steel sequels, but I can’t say I don’t see where he’s coming from.

Outside of Rth, who is on another level, I feel like you might have the highest average level of post quality that I can recall on this site. How to you construct these tables, out of curiosity? Do you have a process to import the numbers from BOM, or just enter things by hand? I'd very much appreciate one for Logan and AM&tW after its 5th or 6th week.

220+ is starting to look pretty real for AM&tW. Below where I hoped in June, but better than I was thinking on its first week.

It’s not a totally firm line when the classic summer Marvel kickoff movie comes out a week early. The question mark is there specifically because I know different people like to include IW differently, but it seems like grim22 was counting IW or he would have said #4 instead of #5.

If that number for AM&tW holds it is an astonishing PTA drop that could make AM vs MI6 a very interesting battle for #5 this summer. Incredibles also earning its name with those projections, but that doesn’t surprise me at all.
