  1. 2022 is good for Spidey 3, the brand can cool off a bit. I'm not convinced they shouldn't have waited until 2020 for FFH, but it's gonna make a billion anyway.
  2. If they were going to do an Avatar rerelease it would absolutely make the most sense to do it next winter, a year before Avatar 2 and at a time when Disney doesn't have Star Wars slotted. I'm not convinced they will rerelease it though.
  3. They used the word "offline," which means, "not on the internet." I really don't know what to predict for the movie to be honest, but with the way this summer is going, sub-50 wouldn't surprise me at all.
  4. Said this in another thread, but: what is selling this movie to the GA? Watching Pitt and DiCaprio pal around as actors in 1970 Hollywood? None of the advertising has given anything substantial at all. No stakes, no plot, no hook, no novelty, nothing. Unless you're a Tarantino fan, what makes someone show up to this opening weekend?
  5. Kevin Feige in 2008, watching the Iron Man opening weekend: "Wow, audiences really love this movie! Phew. Haha, imagine if in ten years I'm announcing we have the highest grossing movie ever... ah... haha... anyway, I'm sure Incredible Hulk will be a hit too."
  6. HeadShot is I suppose what you would call a "sore winner." Glad some fellow Marvel fans in this thread are trying to show some class at least.
  7. Glad I wasn't here for AOU, people must have been losing their fucking minds over a not-as-good sequel with no novelty opening to 92% of the predecessor.
  8. Why would people spend so much money on tickets and movie food when they can just rent at home and get the same experience though? It's no coincidence that the midbudget movies that are thriving right now are music related - that's something you want to experience in a huge theater. People just don't want to pay a lot of money to see a 90 minute comedy in the theater anymore. It doesn't matter how much exposure it gets.
