To try and move the topic away from Ezra Miller’s insanity for a bit, I think I might have an idea on what they plan to do with Batman moving forward. Before the Discovery merger, the plan was for Michael Keaton to become the new Batman of the DCEU. Well, in lieu of Batgirl getting canned and Affleck being brought in to do a scene for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, I think the plan is for Affleck to continue being the primary Batman of the DCEU. I’m sure Keaton will still be in this movie, but at this point, I think it’ll be a one-off.

I suppose that Batman is the only mainstream superhero who really lends himself well to that approach (which is ironic, because Spider-Man is the one who always has the multiverse adventures), since he’s a very versatile character who has had many wildly different interpretations, but it still feels like Batman overload.

Kevin Feige and Marvel took a risk by banking their entire universe on lesser known characters for the MCU. They obviously had no real choice in the matter, but the bottom line is that they took a gamble, and it paid off. I can’t picture someone seemingly as risk-averse as Zaslav taking a similar gamble.

First off, are you incapable of having a discussion without insulting people? Second, I’m not making conspiracies. Depp supporters are the ones making conspiracies, like when they claimed that the U.K. judge who ruled against Depp (cope) was somehow in Rupert Murdoch/Amber Heard’s pocket. Seriously, if you want to argue that Depp is innocent because a non-sequestered jury that was too dumb to properly fill out their forms said so, then I don’t know what to tell you. Again, the unsealed documents have painted a very u flattering picture of Depp and his legal team, and your only response to that was a single word that was meant to insult me. Anyway, that’s the last I’ll say on this, as there’s already a separate thread for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.

By the way, in regards to Clint Eastwood, as I mentioned earlier, the big problem in that case is that WB executives gave an explanation for why they greenlit the movie, and Zaslav’s response was to use a quote from Jerry Maguire to say that maintaining good working relations with your talent isn’t important. Anyone who has ever worked in the industry will tell you that it’s always good to maintain connections in a “I scratch your back, you scratch mine” kind of way. The fact that Zaslav apparently isn’t aware of this is asinine.
