If you’re talking about me, I didn’t say anything about comic book shows. I don’t care for those. I just fail to see why the average person subscribed to HBO Max would care about that stuff. It doesn’t help that emphasizing reality shows comes off as a massive middle finger to anyone who actually cares about the creative side of film and television. Also, is reality television even relevant anymore?

When they say this is a musical, I would assume that just means that Lady Gaga will have a couple of imagine spots where she breaks into song, with one of them possibly being a duet with Phoenix.

The idea of it being pumped out at the expense of actual worthwhile content is where the main problem lies.

Joker was an overhyped movie that doesn’t hold up.

The Batgirl movie didn’t fall into that category, if that’s what you’re getting at. If the rumors are true, Zaslav sounds like he’s way in over his head when it comes to DC.

WB isn’t going to bleed money because Cry Macho flopped.

If WB goes under at this point, it’ll be because of Zaslav, not in spite of him.

WB employees gave a perfectly reasonable answer for why they greenlit Cry Macho, and Zaslav’s response was essentially that WB doesn’t owe their talent anything, even if the talent is someone like Clint Eastwood, who consistently gets movies finished on time and under budget. That suggests that the man really has no clue how Hollywood works. If you can’t maintain good working relations with your talent, no one is going to want to work with you.

Why does it need to move to HBO proper? Why can’t it stay where it is? It’s not 2007 anymore. Cable is a relic.

I have no interest in it. I just figure that it’s sure to happen because Zaslav seems to like Todd Phillips.

I mean, I’m not surprised that Zaslav would want to cancel a movie starring a woman of color. That seems to be his thing.

The superhero genre will only die if the MCU stops making money. Phase Four has been pretty shaky to say the least, but Marvel still has more goodwill than most other franchises. As for DC, yeah, they’re probably boned. Nothing except for that dumb Joker sequel seems like a certainty right now, but I guess we’ll have to see what happens tomorrow.

Way to put words in my mouth. I’m just pointing out that you guys have a tendency to get carried away when it comes to Marvel movies. You predicted that MoM and L&T would claim the May and July records respectively, and iirc, you’re currently claiming that WF could see a $250 million OW. Maybe it will see a 20-40% increase, but you seem to be treating it as if it’s a sure thing.
