Pre-sales for tomorrow are huge but show count is just 70k, which may go like 75k, giving it 450mn capacity but since 50% restriction, the max it can do is 225mn. It's bit too much to expect 40% occupancy, but even in that case its doing 180mn. Love You Forever looks like 130-133mn final PS. 130k shows, final perhaps 135k. Capacity is 625mn Approx. Should reach 30-35% occupancy giving 185-210mn OD. Overall 275k shows will be played tomorrow. 1.4Bn capacity, should do 450mn plus i.e. $65mn.

I think 3 Idiots, Lagaan and Taare Zameen Par will make it, that will take India to 18 and leave 22 films for other to share. Pan Labyrinth, A Separation and 2-3 other non-France, Japan and Korea films should be there. Leaving 17 for France, Japan and Korea to share. I think Korea will have atleast 7 more films including 2 of Bong. Japan also don't think will miss 7. That gives India a very good chance to win this thing. Damn. This is turning out to be a thriller.

other studios will reveal if they do numbers. iirc Joker has the most views for DC films in first 24 hours. Universal revealed Fast and Furious trailer views. Warner revealed IT views. And it's not like trailers are only thing Disney dominate. Why don't you complain about no other studio film in Top Grossers.

I won't really press on it considering last two days had late night surges on Maoyan, who know if that will happen today or not. Edit: 106mn at 18:00. Yesterday was 156mn at same time, i.e. 69% of full day. Usually Monday ease 15% on Sunday at same time, today perhaps 10% as its better than usual Monday. That suggest it will be about 62%, which gives 170mn.

As I pointed in that thread, its no longer matter of building theaters or anything. Its about exchange rate now. Last year China did ¥64bn plus but ER was shit around 7, giving 9.29bn in $. ER of mid 2000s would have it at $10.5mn beating USA.
