  1. 1. Neerja: film about real life story of a young air hostess who lost her life saving many others in airplane hijack. that would have made place in Top 100 IMO. 2. Sarabjit (I still don't know why): Story of a Punjabi guy who crossed Indo-Pak border while drunk and for 24 years he was in Pakistan jail. Her sister tries to get him free. The case was very popular in India. The film was critically panned but I got connection some how and cried during a scene when sister meet her brother after years. 3. Endgame (during the film there were couple of scenes got me teary not including Iron Man scene. That I felt forced) 4. Baahubali 2 (whole sequence Kattapa kill Baahubali & post that) Other than that, GoT many many many scenes.
  2. Ultron in Top 50 will be funny af but Civil War & Ragnarok being that low is sad.
  3. In Top 30 Hollywood Grossers in India, there are 12 Marvel films 3 Fast & Furious films 3 DC films 2 Disney Live Actions 2 Jurassic World films 2 Mission: Impossible 1 Jumanji 1 Conjuring Universe film 4 non-franchise films (Avatar, Titanic, 2012 & Life of Pi)

  5. Week 3-6 aren't available but Week 7 is 38,37,383 on 51 theatres with 3 not reported. Would estimate 7 Weeks total at 4cr Nett and 7.25cr Gross.
  6. Looking at Jurassic Park (Hindi) collections in India. Week 1: 70,24,369 from 54 theatres (4 theatres not reported) Week 2: 52,91,093 from 49 theatres (9 theatres not reported) Simply incredible. I suppose these are Net numbers, Gross will be about double of these, which after including unreported theatres I think at 2.75cr or About $920k from Hindi version released on 58 locs in 2 Weeks. English version 2nd Week 11,82,764 on 13 theatres. First Week I suppose would be 12.5 lakh Approx. So about 50 lakh Gross in 2 Weeks i.e $170k on just 13 locs.
  7. what?? Being in Top 100 is one thing but that high. Urgggghhhh.
  8. Still wondering with each passing film that how high are Baahubali (s), Andhadhun placed. As these two are the ones with most forum recognition. I am bad at lists, but I think couple of other Indian films like P.K., Gangs of Wasseypur, Super Deluxe, Vikram Vedha, Drishyam, Tumbbad, October, Badlapur, Queen, Bhaag Milka Bhaag, OMG, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, My Name is Khan, Haider, etc will make it in Top 100, may be Top 20. Trailers of some of the above
  9. Watched Ramayan few episodes. Poorly made, badly acted, awful dialogues. 2/10 just for effort they put in. On the top of my head, I remember few scenes of Mahabharata I watched recently. That show is brilliantly enacted and much more grounded. Of course source material is better too. Watched Mahabharata clip from E081. Hands down, it is best Hindi TV show ever made. Dialogues are brilliant, acting is top notch and production value are much more better than Ramayan. Genius of Chopra brothers behind the show.
  10. I don't play games but coincidentally I did last week. Played Cricket 07 which is super outdated but still best cricket game available IMO.
  11. Kabir Singh actually beat Sanju in terms of footfalls despite 100cr less gross Kabir Singh Sanju
  12. The Boys is really good. Season finale is cool as well. Looking forward to season 2.
  13. Movies Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men's Chest: Rewatch. Just like the original, fun elements are all there especially in the start but towards the end the film start going farther from its core IMO. Still a solid Blockbuster film. 7/10 Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End: Also Rewatch. The third one is even less of first one and more of second one, which wasn't something I liked. Still a good closure to the main trilogy. 6/10 Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides: This is weird. Contrary to popular belief found it really good actually. In fact best only to 'Curse of Black Pearl'. It started on mixed note but the 3rd act and ending in particular was really good. 8/10 Pirates of the Carribean: Salzar's Revenge: This is most likely the last Jack Sparrow film in the franchise and it truly ends at a very somber note. Not really a satisfying end to the franchise but it wasn't hateful either like that of The Rise of Skywalker and Game of Thrones. Hector's sacrifice felt forced. Jack Sparrow felt out of its elements for most of the film. Still, the film has fun moments. 5/10 Angrezi Medium (Hindi): Not really a fan of original, that felt artificial to me but this started on a good note but by the second half it turned into a lame cliched emotional-comedy. 3/10 Movie of the Week: Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides TV Shows Money Heist S01-S04: This is where my most of the week went. I liked the first two seasons, had my nitpicks but overall I found it entertaining. Didn't like the start of 3rd season one bit. It felt forced and stretched but credit where due by the end of season it start getting better. Now coming to S04, pick up at high note of S03 but go down tide from there on. General consensus is that it get better in latter episodes but it didn't for me and I am about done with the series. 7/10 with quality going down every season.
  14. Since there aren't really much of numbers to deal with, we all are doing one thing common i.e. watching Movies/Series when at home. 15. China is looking at decent numbers. $14mn Friday. Saturday looks like $20mn. weekend may breach $50mn.
  16. Covid impact definitely but then last film was disappointment so not really surprising.
  17. Is OTT included in TV? I thought it should go in Home Video. If so, that would make sense.
