  1. CA IPCC. Yeah, as per two reports I got. One is from T-Series insider (bad), other is from South India (below average-average). 2.0 had very good reports.
  2. Race 1 is decent. Race 3 is shit. Last year, the good films from Bollywood were Andhadhun, Badhai Ho & October.
  3. 99% Indian film are shit. Out of over 1000 films made, barely 10-20 are good.
  4. Results could have been bit better, like 10 more marks, but I am satisfied. Next step is now preparation for final exams which are in Nov 2020. Party, you can join me whenever in India.
  5. you can, but won't find anything, because I am perhaps the only tracker in India who tracks Hollywood.
  6. Why is everyone forgetting $28mn it did in India 😛
  7. Easy 200mn today. Playing at FFH run rate currently. Unless word of mouth slow down the rate in evening.
  8. I seriously didn't expect that Endgame will be so near Titanic, and actually bigger than Titanic first run. A case can be made, that Titanic will do bigger in Asia and South America now, but its not going to get 100mn admits in USA as well and majority European countries will drop as well, to 60-70% of original. And we don't even know if a romantic film will manage that numbers today. Romance was big in India in last decade, its totally dead today.
  9. No need to be sad. This delusional sub standard industry deserve that.
  10. So Meg and Fast 8 had 2.6x PSm, if we manage that, we are looking at ¥170mn OD. But that may be wishful thinking, So hoping it's just under 3x.
  11. India (Bollywood) 1997: 550mn (90 films) 2009: 230mn (142 films) 2017: 250mn (245 films)
  12. Still enroute $1680mn. Let's see if it can squeeze some $20mn to be first film ever to hit $1.7 Billion but not $2 Billion. That's on you. China and USA. You costed me $400mn.
  13. The initial report I am getting for Saaho are bad. Seems like Endgame will make history becoming first foreign film ever to top yearly box office.
  14. It wouldn't make sense to go beyond mid 90s or even 90s as cinema across world had many changes. As per @dada China was regularly getting 100mn plus admissions at dirt cheap rates pre mid-90s. There's Sholay over 325mn admissions in just India & USSR in 1970s & 1980s. So 25 years is best comp, however then also films in 90s or early 20s are favoured with less threat from other mediums.
  15. Avatar held the record for so long, thanks to Europe box office dumping like stone and ER getting shit. Fixed it for you.
  16. I am actually surprised by people being surprise by how good TLK is doing. It has massively underperformed in USA and China by atleast $200mn each.
