BO Germany/Austria: Deadpool&Wolverine #1
charlie Jatinder replied to IndustriousAngel's topic in International Box Office
I for one would have wanted Germany to win. I mean, what option do I have, to chose between two evils. Yeah Hitler killed Jews but British killed many more times Indians. Loot us for more than two centuries. Winston Churchill killed tens of millions of Indians to fund their war. Hundereds of Thousands Indian men killed in combat for their war. For me both sides were evil and ofcourse America dropping/giving the world nukes. Ugh. Gandhi and Congress were idiots to support British during WW2. -

BO Germany/Austria: Deadpool&Wolverine #1
charlie Jatinder replied to IndustriousAngel's topic in International Box Office
I was checking Inglorious Basterds numbers, it did huge in Germany. How come so? I mean it is anti-Nazi and have many German killings, so how do it fare that well. In fact, how do anti-Nazi films do there? What's general preception of people towards Hitler. -
Look no further than the overseas numbers of the film to find that the three biggest markets are the one that have underperformed compared to rest. Yes. TLK is more popular than BaTB, How? Just see how overseas number of TLK have blown BaTB out of park, that with China, UK and Japan later on not performing to the potential. Sort of pre-sales film had Domestically Club, it should have easily topped 220mn. One of the reason to lower number is definitely it being soul less but internationally film has something special - The foreign dubbing. In India it was able to reach Top 15 single days for Hollywood, featuring among two Avengers film. That was simply unthinkable a week ago. Just see the above Australian number. Going by thumb rule, the second weekend domestically should have been around $100mn and $400mn total till Sunday.

Woah. That sounds impressive TBH. Just assuming it legs 3x from this weekend, will mean 300mn Approx more. Now that's without Italy and Japan. However that will be conservative number and we can totally expect 3.5-4x, i.e. $350-420mn, i.e. $960-1030mn without Japan and Italy. $1 Billion OS is all but locked, shall easily hit $1050mn and with all the chance in world for $1125mn if Japan give more than we expect i.e. around $60mn. Sorry @Brainbug, but you gotta stop it to $550mn domestically, else JW ain't safe.
