When Infinity War was coming, it was looking like something big but it wasn't expected to be what it did. Me being overly optimistic, was expecting an opening day of ₹20cr approx but then when pre-sales started, it blow the roof on Sunday. By then I was on ₹30cr opening train. The exhibition sector wasn't ready. They kept adding shows and they keep getting filled. By Thursday 50% of Friday was sold. Why I am saying this? Because this time, we know what's coming. Exhibitors know what's coming. There will be more screens and shows. Only external factor that could go against is if Kalank clicks, it will hurt the potential of film.

Over $50mn mostly.

I was suspecting the latter. IMO first 5 days will be roughly double of (Tue + Wed) + (Fri + Sat + Sun) of Ultron IMO. I.e. Wed ~ 2X Ultron Tue ~ ¥380mn Thursday ~ 2X Ultron Wed ~ ¥250mn Friday + Sat + Sun ~ 2X Ultron FSS ~ ¥1075mn If there are midnight screenings, add another ¥70mn.

$235mn 5 days will be awful TBH. Nothing below $250mn is satisfactory.

If people think that film being depressing don't make money, just a reminder Titanic is still 2nd highest grossing film of world. Nothing sells better than emotions. If Tony/Cap dies, that's only gonna help. Don't underestimate power of crying/weeping fans.

They released Infinity War for that.

Nope and 99.99% it won't be reported. I will try to get the numbers for you. Besides, I guarantee, it won't cross $100k. I just checked some data, Mumbai it has 4 shows with ₹16k ($235) pre sales. Mumbai will be doing 20-25% of total business of India. Bengaluru 4 shows ₹3.2k presales ($45). Most likely even $50k isn't going to happen.

Unbelievable and extraordinary things are going to happen.

CM returns to Disney > F8 to Universal. F8 did 1/3rd from China, where it will get only 1/4th of gross. In fact, GoTG 2 returns are barely $70mn less, despite WW gross being around 400mn less
