    I thought HTTYD3 had very high quality animation as well. Plus Spiderverse in 2018 had really great animation, which also wasn't Pixar.

    Coco was better than both of those and imo TS4 was just as good as 3.

    I thought Monsters U was awesome. One of the best Pixar sequels and definitely superior to I2 and FD.

    I usually go with BOP tracking over Deadline. Deadline initial tracking is usually total bs.

    Nah, it had good audience scores and good legs even without the EG boost. Not so much the popularity of the character but the film's multiverse premise is what will get a big increase imo. It's been winning a lot of the fan most anticipated polls which I had thought would be dominated by Thor. Not sure if that will translate to the BO but the potential is there , and just $900 million would probably be a tad disappointing for me.

    If the sequel to a 1.1 billion dollar film that was well received and had a hyped cliffhanger decreases, then it is an underperformer.

    I don't think it will hit 200. I think it has a better chance than DS2 or Thor 4 though. I doubt any MCU will hit 200 until BP2.

    Yeah I agree, but with the FFH cliffhanger ending I think we may see a bigger increase.

    Yeah it's the 21st. An earlier announcement had said 17th but it was changed to the 21st.

    I don't understand the idea of "wasting" actors in side roles. Would you rather have the side characters be played by bad actors? The story determines the leads, not the actors.

    By this logic (people saying Batman will easily hit 200) Spider-Man Homecoming would have challenged for 200.

    I don't think Batman 2021 will hit 200 but if it has great reception I could see the sequel doing so.

    I don't think Deadline is getting theater-level info, just analysis based on current pace. Which is a little odd since Charlie's last update was an hour ago, instead of morning like it usually is.

    Deadline is predicting $17 million with previews. That would be insane PS loading, like superhero movie level.
