GOTG2, and even the first one did have his vision all over it. Never once did I mention whether it was different enough to suit your particular tastes, which are totally irrelevant to the point of my comment.
Entirely possible that he wasn't comfortable with the scope of the film if they do intend to make it some kind of crossover event. Anyway I'm not sure whenever something like this happens people forget about all the MCU directors who have been allowed creative freedom like Waititi, Gunn, Coogler etc. and claim that the MCU movies are "all the same".
First one was merely decent so I'm fine with this. Anyway I was hoping they kept the horror elements toned down and focused more on the "multiverse" part so if that pans out it'll be great.
I'm generally meh about 3D but I don't agree with saying Avatar 3D sucked. Seeing it in theaters 3D is something I won't forget, it was super immersive.
I think it's funny that people think Avatar 2 is going to bomb, guess they didn't learn from Titanic and Avatar which people also expected to bomb. And it's really dumb that people say "it looks like a video game" proving that they don't understand what concept art is.
From my experience and looking at online scores at least WOM was better than TA but TA didn't have any kind of comparable rush factor. TA was also an introduction to the MCU for many people while EG was the conclusion and so wouldn't draw non fans in the same way. DH2 faced the second issue as well.
It doesn't say that was when Darth Bane was around, it says it is set during the Rule of Two era which fits with the timeline. I think a series about Jedi exploring the unknown regions would be interesting and could serve as a nice fresh start.
Yeah, -46% vs -48%. It's drops have generally been better than or par Hobbit (other than this Monday), it's the bumps that have been disappointing. So today will be important.
Might be due to the chain composition of the two samples? We are back to a semi regular weekday and some chains like Cinemark play stronger on weekdays.
Yeah that seems really bad to me. Also OS and DOM being basically even after New Years, with DOM having the higher daily number, seems quite bad. From here on DOM should start holding better than OS right?
True I shouldn't have said that it needs to drop like Smaug. It just needs to start having a better trend than it has been though where daily bumps have been way below comps.
Fair it would be more like 34. I still don't think missing 500 is impossible from that though, it would have to start having a much better trend to go over. @Justin4125 I'm not sure how useful TT is as a comp given how different leg patterns were in 2002.
Edit: corrected about it needing to drop like Smaug.
