At least at my theater, there are a lot more sales for Endgame today than there were for Captain Marvel's Sunday, because I was easily able to get good seats for that only a couple of hours before the movie but here there's nothing left but front row for any showtime. Today might be an absolutely massive number. -

I don't remember it being a huge issue until Endgame though, for Captain marvel it was mostly fine -
I kinda disagree. Even if the weekdays are spillover-boosted, that's still a lot of money that's going in the bank there. Let's say Endgame got a super high spillover boost of 40-39-27-25 for it's weekdays, which gives 131 for the week, vs an average spillover boost of 30-29-20-18, which gives 97. That's 34 million that it doesn't have to gain in late legs to match whatever records we may wish for.

No but sometimes there are contractual obligations for theaters to keep films for a certain amount of time which can limit the showings of mega event films a bit

Charlie says 110 million Saturday is the floor which makes it pretty much impossible to go that low, I trust Charlie over IGN on this

this opening is going to be more than 100 million over IW, and the A+ Cinemascore + massive rewatch potential should goose up legs.

So unless the Sunday hold is unbelievably good, it looks like China opening will end up falling short of USA, which everyone expected a month ago then everyone switched their expectations with crazy China numbers then switched again with crazy USA numbers. What a wild ride it has been.

80m Sun would be a HUGE drop for a mega opener...and that still puts it over 350 million. So yeah, I'd say it's 100% locked.

The thing is Infinity War already had near-maximum reception from hardcore fans, so there wasn't much room for Endgame to increase, but while it was really well-liked by GA there was definitely a decent group of people that could be won over.

OW or legs? Because I'd be surprised if it got worse legs than IW given that reception appears to be better across the board -
It may get close though, 375+ is quite possible.

I don't think it's impossible. I wouldn't bet on it just yet but it would be a similar percentage increase to IW first Saturday

I would say 380 million looks like a decent possibility now

Chamber of Secrets, but that movie seems like there may have just been an odd sample or something because it's general WOM didn't seem on par with an A+
