Overall I thought the trailer was good. I think this does a billion easy. I'm not too fussed over them making a traditional sequel to far from home since I thought it was one of my least favorite spidey films. I'm all in for this being a chaotic messy fun time.

Endgame was 3 hours of fan service and MCU clips show with some eye rolling plot contrivances and I didnt hear many complaints about that.

I was really hoping for a blomkamp come back. Particularly because I thought all those Oats studios short film were pretty good. Sucks to see him keep spiraling.

Well, I heavily disagree. It was promoted more or less the same as a lot of WB films. People just had no interest.

I was going to say, saying WB didnt promote it is factually untrue. I've seen that trailer before every movie for months now.

This is my most anticipated film by far. I feel like if Sony hadnt backed out of the Marvel deal for that short time we would have never gotten this film. Seems like Sony pushed for this and having Holland cross over for their films. If I recall from the email leaks Sony wanted Tobey and Garfield to cross over previously.

Both Reed and Watts are at best mediocre directors more suited to TV. Nobody is watching ant man or spider-man because of them and nobody will follow their post MCU careers just like nobody followed them pre MCU. They're cheap, available and do what the studio wants and that works just fine for Feige where directors are more like cogs in the machine rather than the creative driving force of the films.

Eh, I think it goes beyond streaming and the 2016 film though I'm sure they added to it.. That seems like easy scape goats and a reason to not examine the film itself. The first film had will Smith, batman and joker. This had John cena and weasel. Its also rated r and was off putting to a portion of the audience including myself. Theres a reason this had the same cinemascore as the first. None of the trailers were big and the marketing was poor. My thoughts anyway.

Looks visually a step up from most of the MCU but pretty dull otherwise. Meh.

I have a hard time imagining James Wan delivering a film that gets an F.

If any film is going to do a billion it's this one. F9 is gonna pass $700M and that's with a collapse of legs in China and mixed reception and the franchise clearly on a downward trajectory box office wise.

At least BOP doubled its budget at the box office. May have even broke even or made a profit long term on the home market. This is likely losing $100M+
