  1. Biggest 9am score of the year for The Boy and The Heron. Apparently it made 70k+ admissions on Sunday previews alone.
  2. 5 notable openers this week. The Nun 2, Un métier sérieux and A Haunting in Venice will probably lead.
  3. The Boy and the Heron will be released November 1 in France (taking Dune 2's release date).
  4. Anatomie d'une chute starts with 4.4/5 press and 4.1/5 audience scores on Allociné.

  6. All the Barbie shows after 5pm at the UGC Les Halles are already sold out. That theater isn't usually very pre-sale heavy, I'm not sure when something like that happened for the last time.
  7. Huge for both. Oppenheimer higher than Interstellar, Tenet and Dunkirk, close to Inception.
  8. That's a very strong score for a family film, higher than Dumbo (63), Maleficent 2 (30) and Cruella (24). Omar La Fraise and L'amour et les forêts are also doing extremely good.
  9. This is 100% review bombing. One 5-star rating and all other reviews giving the lowest possible score. Not to mention that this is the first "review" those users are posting. The press score (which is low) is legit though.
  10. FWIW, I know someone who's seen it, they're saying the film is amazing.
  11. Average start for Dungeons and Dragons, very good for Suzume. The Three Musketeers with an increase from its OD !
  12. YN : 75k OW/250k total WWY : 95k/228k I hope this can do something like 130k/300k.
  13. Suzume : 882 Your Name : 1107 Weathering with you : 542
  14. There was a giveaway for Suzume, which is inflating its score. Your Name was released by the same distributor, so it might have had a giveaway too, I'm not sure. Three Musketeers passed 1M OW. Still coming a bit under expectations, but it had a really good multiplier over the week (even accounting for the previews and easter holidays).
  15. If you're in Paris, cinemas from the UGC/MK2 chain and most independent theaters will only show films with french subtitles (except for children films). Be sure to check if you go to Pathé-Gaumont / Grand Rex as they have some "VF" (dubbed in french) showings. If you want to see a french film (or any not in the english language), I believe the Luminor Hotel de Ville sometimes does screenings with english subtitles. As LPLC said, Le Grand Rex is really impressive, but only if you see one of the films shown in their biggest auditorium ("la grande salle"), the rest of them aren't anything noteworthy. I'd also recommand the Max Linder Panorama, which is in front of Le Grand Rex. It's the last theater in Paris to only have one auditorium, which is huge and on three different floors, like le Grand Rex. They only show one film per month though.
  16. Cine-directors' projections for the week. I think he's being conservative on Mario. 17. Full numbers : Very good for Mario. The Paris/Périphérie score is even more impressive with 19 586 admissions (best of the year). Disappointing for the three musketeers on the other hand. Mario holds a 3.9/5 audience score on Allociné, three musketeers has 4.1/5.
  18. Great for both films. Best 9am of the year for Three Musketeers, Mario higher than TS4 and HTTYD3.
  19. Presales for the Three Musketeers previews today look really good, Hopefully we can have two 1M+ openers next week.
  20. Good start for Je Verrai Toujours Vos Visages, similar to Pupille (the director's previous film), which opened with 263 000 admissions. WOM is excellent (4.3/5 audience score so far). Disastrous for Shazam, 60% drop from the first film.
  21. This apparently was how full last night's preview show for Shazam 2 at the Grand Rex was (tbh, this is the 9pm showing, there was another one at 6, and many others in other theaters, but it should be doing way better)

John Wick posted the biggest opening of the franchise, which is obviously great, but I would have expected it to at least outgross a random Dujardin film (Sur les chemins noirs), given the rave reviews and WOM + having been shot in Paris. Next week, Je verrai toujours vos visages and Shazam should be the biggest openers. The latter will be losing its PLF screens shortly to Three Musketeers, which is holding nationwide previews on sunday ahead of its wednesday opening.
