  1. 1561 Paris 14h for JW4 (1779 for JW3). I was honestly expecting more, but let's wait for OD numbers. Paris+Périphérie 14h is flat from JW4 though. 4.3/5 audience score, which is really good. Press reviews at 3.7/5 (down from 3.8 yesterday) are also impressive, since these type of movies typically don't get such high scores.
  2. Extremely strong start for Creed III (best of the year) in Paris-Périphérie, although its score is inflated by the holidays. 10 011 admissions (Creed : 3746 and Creed 2 : 4536).
  3. I managed to get tickets to the other showing. Not a fan of the film though.
  4. I intended to go to the Paris one on Monday, but the two shows sold out too quickly...
  5. 64 923 admissions OD (including 15 000 in previews) for Fabelmans. Much higher than WSS (20k) and similar to The Post (44k). WOM is very positive with a 4.3/5 audience score on Allociné.
  6. Stong score for Fabelmans, same as The Post (93), higher than WSS (69).
  7. It's somewhat of a wild card. Pathé seems confident with it as they've just greenlit a 35M euro new Dumas adaptation (Le Comte de Monte-Cristo) from the same screenwriters. I've heard people say the film is really good and a crowdpleaser. I'm personally hoping for 5M+, but who knows honestly...
  8. The 2pm Paris number for Avatar was 5 337 admissions (-21% Avatar ; -46% NWH) despite little to no WC impact given that the semi started at 8

It has very little competition until september, but WOM is horrible (2.7/5 user score and dropping - in comparison TDW and Eternals are at 3.4, MoM is at 3.6). Maybe 2.2-2.3M total. Fine start for Ducobu Président although behind previous installments. Should cross 1M admissions. La Nuit du 12 is doing extremely well with a strong PTA. WOM and reviews are great (4.1/4.5). TGM and Decision To Leave are holding well, with the latter on track to become the biggest Park Chan Wook film in France (Handmaiden ended with 300 000 admissions). Arthur, Malédiction had a spectacular drop (-79%) and should sell less than 5% of what the original Arthur et les Minimoys film did (6,4M). Incroyable mais vrai became the biggest Quentin Dupieux film in France. This week, Rodrigo Sorogoyen's latest film, As Bestas is off to a great start and sold 11 375 admissions on OD. 70-80k admissions if it follows El Reino. Joyeuse Retraite 2 had a weak od with 32 178 admissions (including 6 389 previews).
  10. A bit lower than expected. Lower than Joker (290 000 including previews) and TDKR (423 000) but similar to TDK.
  11. 67k admissions (137k including pre-sales) at 5pm. Looks like 200k OD plus previews (probably ~100k).
  12. 6k admissions (80k including pre-sales) so-far.
  13. Ok/good start but might be deflated by the nationwide previews yesterday. 4.1/5 audience score so far.
  14. A Hero #14 with 47 000 admissions over the weekend and likely around 70k full week, way lower than Everybody knows (380k) and A Separation (150k). Looks like maybe Matrix is heading for 180k admissions OD, Sing 2 90k ? Good for both but slighly underwhelming.
  15. Eternals OD Pre-Sales (D-2) - 757 tickets sold /12 505 seats (5 theaters) 1.5x Shang-Chi OD - 147 000 admissions 0.76x Dune OD - 90 000 admissions I think 130-140k admissions / around 800k OWeek is a good goal. Buzz seems much higher than SC but reviews are so-so.

Venom 2 is down 55% from Venom 1(excluding previews). It's even worse for Halloween Kills and Le Tresor du Petit Nicolas, which are down respectively 75% and 90-95% from their predecessors. Illusions Perdues, which has stellar reviews and WOM, is off to an OK start but it's selling almost half of its admissions in Paris.

WOM is middling but it should easily pass 1M admissions. No Time To Die was #1 again, but with a rather steep drop. Holidays should help it stabilise. 3.6-3.8M admissions (around Quantum of Solace but well below Spectre and Skyfall) should be a reasonable goal. Julie (en 12 chapitres) (The Worst Person In the World) posted a great opening considering that it's only playing on 144 screens - Joachim Trier's Oslo, 31st August finaled with 141 424 admissions back in 2012. Julie should become the biggest norvegian release in France since Aïtanga in 1948. Boîte Noire and Bac Nord continue their impressive run. Bac Nord hit a 4.4x multi from its opening week.
  19. Fantastic start for Illusions Perdues (which will might not be translated outside of Paris). So-so for Venom.
  20. NTTD is recovering from a weak start. It should be over 1.2M admissions by the end of Sunday (1.5M full OWeek).
  21. Worst Bond Paris 14h in 25 years. Paris is probably underperforming though. Nationwide pre-sales indicate roughly 1.4M admissions OWeek, which would still be the biggest opening of the year.
  22. Yeah, it released in France a few months ago. Didn't quite connect with it, but it's a great film.

It had a 8.98 True OD to OWeek multi, which is extremely strong. Audience score on Allociné stands at 4.4/5. It has three weeks to itself before NTTD, so a 3.0-3.5M admissions finish should be doable given strong WOM. Shang-Chi (4.1 score) is also enjoying good holds and should reach 1.5M admissions. Boîte Noire and Bac Nord are also WOM hits (respectively 4.2 and 4.3 score). Boîte Noire will pass the 1M admission mark and Bac Nord, which has been holding incredibly well in the last weeks, will hit 2.1M admissions (4x+ multi ! from OWeek), just a tad under Les Misérables's score in 2019. Pourris Gâtés and L'origine du monde, two french comedies post weak openings. Drive My Car, which won Best Screenplay at Cannes, will also have a 4x multi to reach 220k admissions. It's Ryosuke Hamaguchi's biggest film in France, surpassing Asako, despite being three hours long. 2.6 million admissions were sold this week, which is higher than the same weeks in 2019 and 2020.
