  1. Up to 4.5 now. Only Green Book, Bohemian Rhapsody, Parasite, Spider-Verse and Joker atteined similar scores recently.
  2. Depends of your expectations I guess, but 1.3 would be the best opening of the year, so probably 8.
  3. SC overperformed a lot at the 9am (probably because its 9am was a 10am one). Dune's score is similar to Tenet and OUATIH.
  4. French early WOM seems great from previews, it debuts with a 4.4/5 audience score and 4.0/5 press on Allociné. Audience scores have been harsher lately since Allociné changed their algorithm to eliminate fake reviews / bots. 4.3s have been acting like 4.5s.
  5. DUNE (previews) (D-1) - 1063/2902 (+180) 1.43x Shang-Chi OD - 140k DUNE (OD) (D-2) - 992/9347 (+380) 1.98x Shang Chi OD - 194k For what it's worth, it has over 14 000 "want to see" on Allociné, which is about the same as F9 and BW. imo 200k OD + 100k previews is doable. It's opening on 891 screens. Widest release since FB2/IW.
  6. France pre-sales : DUNE (previews) (D-2) - 883/2902 (+148 in one day) (5 theaters in the Paris area) 1.76x Shang-Chi OD D-2 sales - 172 000 admissions DUNE (OD) (D-3) - 612/9347 (+112) I've just started to track those theaters so SC is my only comp (and it had no previews), but it looks really good.
  7. Great 2pm start for Shang-Chi, ahead of Black Widow (2882 vs 2805).
  8. It opens today in France. No press screenings, 2.6/5 audience score so far.

It should be #1 of the year soon. The Croods 2 passes 1M admissions. 210k OD (60k previews) for OSS. 900k+ OWeek, with a shot at 1M. WOM seems mixed-positive at 3.2/5. It's worth noting that Jungle Cruise increased by 22% on its second Wednesday.
  10. OSS 117 3 probably going over 200k admissions OD, including previews (~130k true OD) which could lead to 800k-900k OW. Very good considering the circumstances.

Kaamelott sold 310 000 admissions in one evening of previews...but then only 116k on its official OD (the first day of pass sanitaire). Its 1M OWeek is still fine and ensures a sequel will happen. 4.1/5 audience score on Allociné. Titane is the only good hold this week thanks to the Palme d'or boost (in a normal week, it would've had an increase). Onoda's score isn't good, despite rave reviews (4.4/5 critics score). Overall the week was down 42%, despite Kaamelott's opening. Multiplexes were down 60% while small (less than 5 screens) theaters were only down 30%. 28/07/21 ODs : 1. The Suicide Squad - 45 224 admissions (561 screens) 2. Jungle Cruise - 43 384 (538) 3. Spirit - 31 308 (inc. 11 029) (454) 4. Just 6.5 - 6 114 (including 1051 previews) (128) TSS (3.7 audience score) and JC (3.4) will fight for second place (Kaamelott will probably win the week) with around 300k each. JC's score is actually decent. It had the same OD as Cruella a few weeks ago (excluding previews).
  12. 206 000 admissions in previews for Kaamelott yesterday. It sold 36,600 tickets in pre-sales at Pathé-Gaumont, which would be exceptional if it plays like a French film (3x previous record), but kinda lackluster if compared to American fan driven franchises... Meh 9am all around (first day of Pass Sanitaire). Kaamelott holds a 4,4/5 audience score on Allocine but only hardcore fans have seen it so far. Some theaters (mostly arthouse and independant) are limiting their screen capacity to 50 seats per show so that the Pass Sanitaire isn't applied.
  13. Over 130k tickets sold for Kaamelott's Tuesday previews as of now. Not totally sure on that, but I believe the preview record for a French film is Qu'est-ce qu'on a encore fait au bon Dieu with around 160k.
  14. Chronologie des médias (the french legislation on windowing) is really a blessing.
  15. Kaamelott seems to have broken the all time presale record for a french film, in just 24 hours...
  16. Black Widow probably 120-150k OD unless it recovers. Ant-Man 2 was 2480, Wonder Woman 2883, Dark Phoenix 2302. If Croods 2 follows 1, 40k OD. Great number for Annette, +10% The Dead Don't Die and +105% Holy Motors
  17. 41 150 tickets sold for Black Widow at Pathé/Gaumont. That's 75% of Far From Home at the same point (would lead to 1,03M OW) and 91% of Captain Marvel (1.15M OW). Very early WOM is fine, with a 3.4/5 score on Allociné (CM/AMATW are 3.6, FFH/BP 3.8) Good 9am start for Black Widow, although it's on the lower side for the MCU. FFH was 134 (during Fête du Cinéma), Ant-Man 2 68+20, Captain Marvel 236. Annette's score is similar to The Dead Don't Die's back in 2019, which went on selling 186k OW/ 333k total admissions. It held previews and ranked fourth yesterday. It has a 3.9/5 score on Allociné but the film will probably be extremely divisive. Black Widow will have over 18k shows this week, biggest amount since the reopening. The Croods 2 gets 14k, Annette and Benedetta (which is opening on Friday) 5k each.
  18. It's fine imo. Very forgettable (it gets very repetitive and messy in the second half) but still enjoyable to an extent. That sequence was...very awkward.
  19. Weekend Estimates (per Stéphane Boudsocq on Twitter) : 1. Adieu Les Cons (340 000 admissions) 2. Demon Slayer (270 000) 3. Tom and Jerry (165 000) 4. Envole-moi (100 000) 5. Mandibules (95 000) 6. ADN (75 000) 7. Druk (70 000) 8. 30 Jours Max (65 000) 9. Le Dernier Voyage (40 000) 10. 100% Wolf (40 000)
  20. So...maybe 58/24/28/80/100/85/20 for 290k 5-day / 395k 7-day ? In 2018 and 2019 in Paris, most films jumped 15-30% on sunday before dropping 5-15% on pentecost In non-Demon Slayer news, Adieu Les Cons passed the 1M admission mark on Sunday and it was reported that last Wednesday was 20% higher than the same day in 2019 !
