Japan - Sunday It's already 9.30 pm in Japan as 99% of box office already counted and Joker will end this day with just 3% drop from yesterday. Also with admission alone it only drop 35% from first weekend. I just don't know what to say about this. After this weekend its total probably in 24-25.5m range. All of you know that Japan box office is all about legs but Joker already opened with a big number for solo superhero movie. Then it also develop legs that I don't think I've ever seen in recent SH. Probably early Spidey or Batman '89. I mean Joker already 5x it's opening weekend and possibly will end with 7x or 8x it's OW.

Currently with 1 hour before Rugby World Cup. Joker already get 80% of it's Saturday admission and 85% of last Sunday. So it's seems fine even though after 7pm local time it get much less than last week.

I would be very very happy, if Joker can get 80m let alone 90 or more OS this weekend

Mal2 will win in SK, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, and Southeast Asia. Joker will win in Japan, Germany and France. UK, Spain and Italy will be close. Rest of Europe ( probably Mal2) , and South America ( probably Joker) will decide who will win that. Will be close but Mal2 I guess.

Seems like today will be affected by rugby world cup, it will make probably 70% admission of yesterday but given that Saturday triple last Saturday number. Probably will still increase or at worst drop by 10-15%.

Possibly this weekend 70m+ OS, so 470m after this weekend. It can just drop 50% each week and it will still get 600. I personally think 625 already locked. One of the thing that will make me doubt it if it get <65m weekend OS.

I still don't know exact drops in Europe, only in Italy but it's drop in Asia like in SK, Japan, HK, India, and Indo still excellent even some better than avg CBM movie. In country like SK it drop 50% this week but that's normal for CBM movie, also in Japan only 15% drop.

Last week when they played JPN vs SCO in Sunday, I thought until evening, number still look fine. Then dip a little. Since 18.00 that day, If I remember it only make 15% of daily box office. Usually 25%, but Saturday number is really good so still enough to at least match last weekend gross.

It's going to debut in second place, well behind Joker's third weekend. A Disney live-action fantasy tentpole losing to a DC film in its third weekend is quite the headline.I wasn't expecting Maleficent 2 to match the success of the original, and wouldn't have been shocked with a decline near 50% (not uncommon for questionable sequels released neither too early or too late), but it's actually looking at a possible 60%+ decline. Japan - Saturday Joker win this day too over Maleficent with 48.7% more admission Weirdly Joker increase much more than Maleficent from Fri to Sat. Maleficent (68%), Joker (110%) Now surely it will increase this weekend. Good chance for 40m+ finish.

keysersoze, how high do you think Joker can make in domestic market ? With normal legs from now on Joker should finish with 640m OS with 42% drop also there are school breaks, halloween holiday and few more holiday in Japan. Japan in Saturday also still overperform that 45m become realistic now also Germany overperform with 10 more. Do you think 340 domestic still possible ?

Ahh, but still 26/27 is a great result. Even if it doesn't reach 1billion but legs in Europe (particularly in Italy) is astounding that Joker can reach 625-650m without China.

Friday Joker € 653.115 (39% increase from yesterday) Total : € 18.675.297 Maleficent € 607.420 ( 49% increase from yesterday) Total € 1.018.496 Joker failed to reach 700k but still good enough for #1 but maybe maleficent will pass it tomorrow. With 70-80% increase tomorrow good enough for € 3.2-3.6m weekend. Good increase for Maleficent, will be really good battle for tomorrow.
