  1. Don't know about Japanese movie release but Joker still have 4 weekend until Frozen release. I know it targets different demographic but still that movie will take a lot of screen especially in Japan. Hopefully this week some of the screen that been given to Mal2 will be back to Joker because occupancy rate for Mal2 is far below like only 10-20% and Joker still in 38-50% or even if it doesn't come back, just hope Joker still retain it's screen number until early November to maximize one more holiday. Lastly if Joker wants to get into 10x multi so 50m. It needs to keep dropping at least below 20%. So far 40 seems locked, and 45m most likely finish.
  2. Tuesday - Japan Joker again win this day as expected, making 8% more admission than last Sunday and approximately 1.7-1.9m today. Should already past $27m and will be around $30-31m before weekend. P.S Joker weekdays ( Mon-Fri ) here in Japan is really strong and still holding like a rock. 1st weekdays : $ 5.4m 2nd : $ 6.4m 3rd : $ 2.7-3m (Mon-Tue) https://mimorin2014.blog.fc2.com/
  3. It does make sense, in Friday it make around $800-850k, so maybe
  4. Yup as of right now with last update 16.30 in Tokyo, in terms of admission Joker already collected 1/2 of last Monday (holiday) admission and 3/4 of last Sunday. Should end with more admission than last Sunday. Probably $1.7-1.8m day. Even in it's 3rd week, in last update too in one of major chains in Japan (Toho) Joker still fill 50% of it's seating capacity up until 2.30pm. Comparing with Maleficent which have 1.5 times it's total seats and with 20% less admission so far. Very impressive
  5. Yup, that 4.2m weekend from Screendaily was wrong. No way it only decrease by 16% from first weekend while it's admission down by 35%. This confirm very strong Mon-Fri for Joker too ($6.3m).
  6. yup i want to post that too but somehow my phone just can't lol
  7. I should have post this together in Portugal post, sorry.. Also in Lithuania as per BOM, Joker just past Endgame as highest grossing superhero movie this year. Don't know if it's biggest of all time because data in BOM isn't perfect. To give some perspective, its total so far 2x CM gross, 3.5x SM:FFH and 7x Shazam.
  8. Portugal Joker already with 515.493 admission in Portugal. Avengers Endgame with 670.413 as second highest grossing movie in 2019. Joker just came with €600k weekend and 108.774 admission and if it holds stayed in that 20-30% for 2 more weekends. Joker should pass Endgame in early November to become highest grossing and most attended superhero movie in there.
  9. So there is no change with estimates number ? Also this movie weirdly despite what critic says have crazy high audience rating in whatever country in this world. It seems like in every country movie site, it sits at least in top 5 superhero movie in terms of audience rating.
  10. Ahh ok, I always thought that TDK did £50m+. Seems like Batman and it's villain still the most popular superhero in UK.
  11. Do you think it has any possibility to past TDKR or TDK in pounds ? In that Screendaily article, the writer said that Dunkirk total in pounds seems achievable but isn't that too big to reach ?
  12. Japan - Monday Joker ends this day with more admission than last week Tue,Wed,Thu and Fri. Of course it was lesser than last week Monday because it's holiday. Also only drop 20% from it's first Monday. Must be because tomorrow will be another holiday in Japan which make evening business very solid. Right now maybe Japan only #5 biggest OS market but with the way Joker drop each week. It become increasingly possible for them to finish #2.
  13. Japan of course help 3rd weekend drop otherwise it might be 39/40% drop. Still it's smaller drop than other SH movie in it's 3rd weekend. Lower ceiling with 50% drop even take it into 625m OS. Anyway another fantastic day in Japan. If Europe exhausting and drop bigger. Japan certainly doesn't follow that script at all. I will confirm this later because this Monday number seems too good to be true. Should be 50% drop from Sunday normally.
  14. Isn't Joker first Mon-Thu € 3.2m ? 1st WE : 4.4 1st Mon-Thu : 3.2 2nd WE : 4.4 2nd Mon-Thu : 2 3rd WE : 3 Total : € 17m
  15. Black Panther make around the same number in it's 3rd weekend, then finish with 36.94m. Black Panther hold in 4th and 5th WE is very strong though 26.5% and 28.9% but Joker has better Mon-Thu number so far.
  16. 74-80m OS + 27m dom = 100-106m + 737 ( hopefully 738+ with tomorrow actual) = 837-843m+,
  17. Joker with 4.2m weekend, 40% increase from last weekend also only drop 16% from first weekend gross. Now with this its 3rd weekend bigger than every DCEU movie opening weekend.
  18. Just want to ask do they use real time currency or first WE currency ? because last weekend as far as I remember joker stands at £30m and $36.9, so they use OW currency even though it's already £1 = $1.26 last weekend.
  19. Also surely at the end of it's run Joker will be #1 solo superhero movie of all time in Europe surpassing IM3 and TDKR.
  20. Endgame with around the same weekend can get 8m more. Don't you think it will get more ?
  21. Of course I know, that's actually weekly gross last week sunday update in 354.4 and now in 490.3. so I just use 136m and use X% drop then see result for next 8 week. At least 625m already safe.
  22. Also with that Japan number that nearly match my number, actually 0.5m more than mine I can safely say that Joker 3rd weekend in Japan > Every DCEU movie OW in Japan except SS.
  23. For this to miss 600m OS it needs to drop 56% each week and I just calculate if it drop X% where it will landed OS. 50% = 625m 49% = 630.9 48% = 636.4 47% = 642.4 46% = 648.5 45% = 654.8 44% = 661.4 43% = 668.2 42% = 675.4 41% = 682.8 40% = 690.5 So what avg drop do you think it will get in next 8 weeks ? P.S I calculate it by combining 77.8m WE and 58.2 Weekdays.
