Schang chi released 2 years ago but feels like 4 due to this. Alot is going on with little connectivity and it all feels ruderless . MCU use to feel like an event but now it just feels like content.

I would agree with you . If audience was loving phase 4/5 . But the audience has kind of turned on this movies . There is definitely a stepdown.

In reference you said " your" favorite movies which is statement of your opinion. My post was referencing general consensus for the MCU . Don't know why some have problems saying a movie was not well recieved . There is information to show such things . That doesn't mean it invalidates your opinion or anything. Love bayformers . Watch them annually or biannually . Do they have flaws ,yes alot but still enjoy them .

Worse or bad . Just because something is worse doesn't make the option "bad " better . Both options are still bad in the end and are detrimental.

Thats terrible verified audience score for the MCU. B Cinemascore one of the worst in the MCU. TLT had 76. B+ Quantumania had 82. B Both were terribly recieved also audience wise . Anything below A- CS for marvel franchise is bad. Infinity saga was hitting out A'S like nothing. It was crazy consistent. Had one movie in B range. This saga it has 4 B's and in critical reception it has 3 rotten now. Previous saga had none.

Eternals sucked both critics and audiences pretty much had the same consensus. Nothing wrong with the zeitgeist. Current MCU phases are just subpar. If you like where the franchise is . Cool But yeah considerable section is just not happy with were the franchise is and some have just failed to come to terms with that.

IGN Deadline Hollywood reporter Erik Davis Variety etc Such sites are not much different from your generic Audience viewer . Very easy to please. Always have positive reviews most of the time. Not casting a shade of credibility on them . In the end it's opinions. But when it's comes to judging critical trajectory ,they are kind of pointless.

Get that. The whole point of saying want secret war to be 2 parts IMO is that want Kang dealt away with. If that were to hypothetically happen ,Avengers 5 would nolonger be Kang dynasty Then would want two avenger movies(including the one previously titled KD) to be retooled into the secret wars storyline divided into 2 parts with different titles. The major drawback is who would replace Kang as the big bad? Doom this late in the game would be also not good.

Personally think the best is making them start off phase 7.

Just like a friend of mine said once they bring back the old characters " marvel will truly be in crisis" . Basically put themselves in a creative bankruptcy hole that's pretty hard to get out off.

If this remains fresh ,it will be barely. As I see more reactions ,even most the positive ones have asterisks like went in with "low expectations" and like it but was "messy". Can see Shazam 2 type reviews happening too. That movie wasn't bad either ,it was just mediocre with solid performances around and the atmosphere around DC didn't help things either. Marvels is sort of in the same situation. Sure saw some reactions from Rt approved critics but seen nothing ,even cryptic from major publications or top critics. Will know in 6 hrs. Morbius comp is just weird @BadOlCatSylvester being overly pessimistic as usual.

YouTube reactions seem more mixed to it's fine . Breakfast all day Christy review was also super negative (worst MCU movie for her). Any top critic reviews? Have a feeling they gonna burry this one.

BOP was slightly more positive. This is more like love and thunder to me. For DC . BOP critical reception was impressive. It's just the Audience wasn't so hot on that movie.

Love and thunder reactions were quite positive. It's just that they were saying it's not good as Ragnarok. TLT having such mixed reviews came as a suprise to many . Infact that's when the conversation around marvel started to shift.

Erik Davis reviews are just pointless at this point. His more GA than the actual GA.

Yeah these reactions are basically " went in with low expectations, but found it enjoyable ,not top tier marvel or anything" Thinking 60s RT . Villian is meh and plot is meb but fun. It's middle of the road MCU is what I'm getting.

It being a two parter . Doesn't mean label it "part 1 and 2" Cancelling KD and doing away with Kang completely would definitely mess up stuff and threads. So forcing all the plotlines to resolve in potentially 1 avenger movie is just disaster and convuluted . Think we agree this phase probably still needs 2 avenger movies . But some of us want Kang dealt of with completely bse I think even with a recast , think damage done to his character is quite significant. Secret war is a big story with lots of cameos and think 2 parter would be better doing it some justice . Saga is a mess and was built on rocky foundation .

Yeah like social media reactions aren't always positive. Obviously will see as more come in . Schangi chi - super positive ,that's when we know it was 90+% RT. Quantumania - Muted and that's when we had a feeling it's rotten. TLT - quite positive reactions though not as strong as Ragnarok but reviews ended up worse than Thor dark world which was a surprise. You really have to read between the lines . Grace hasn't been really hating on this movie . Going on her cryptic tweet and jumping on 90%+ train with little to go on seems Abit much .

Honestly Unless marvels some rebounding ,bombs way. So some changes will happen. Deadpool 3 is a solid money maker cap 4, thunderbolts being already shoot . release them . Skip KD. Cancel F4 for now. Cancel blade . Fast track Schang chi 2 and DS3 and make one of them a civil war type movie that brings together the new avengers team. Spidey 4 is obvious at this point. Make secret war 2 parter . Start off next phase with F4 and Xmen. Possible scenario 24 BNW - July Thunderbolts - Nov 25 Blade. -Feb DP3 - may 2025 26 SP4 -may 2026 DS3 - Nov 27 SC2 - Feb/march Secret wars pt 1 -may 28 Secret wars pt 2 - may Start of phase 7 - Nov Yeah 2028 seems far too long to keep this phase going but would prefer spacing out stuff to just two movies a year. Kept blade on due to low budget but would also prefer putting that on chopping block tbh.

We are in the fatigue phase alright , we just not in the "it's dead" region. Good ones will make money but the schloky ones or the ones with limited appeal will struggle or bomb. The era of CBMS making money due to being in a " CBM " craze is gone, it's behind us . Spiderman,batman will always be around, think superman/Wonder woman can be revived . X-Men/F4 has potential amount of storylines that can be utilized . CBMS will be around , but they won't touch the hype or exposure they had before COVID again. GA is slowly moving onto something else .

Wouldn't it be quite the story if echo ends up being MCU's andor. That trailer got from a state of apathy to like cautiously optimistic.

Color me surprised. This looks good. Whether that pans out into a good show will see.
