How is this movie still not finished yet? APOCALYPSE NOW didn't take this long.
It's just VFX touchups from what we know. Some reshoots were happening as recently as January, right?

Personally I would wait to show off a movie publicly until it's fully complete, especially if it's a really important movie for the studio but hey I'm not a Hollywood exec!
To me, a movie shouldn't live or die by its visual effects. If the bones are there and the story, themes, characters and emotional pull are great, the VFX can always be polished until release. I'm sure Maverick wasn't VFX-locked when it premiered at CinemaCon last year.

When does the screening actually start tomorrow? The movie's around 2h20 or 2h30 so we can expect reviews/reactions immediately afterward.

is it also kind of ridiculous that Air cost 90 million
remember reading a comment from someone complaining "why don't we get more movies like Good Will Hunting anymore??" Yeah because Good Will Hunting cost 10 million which probably wouldn't even be 30 million today. Thus it can be easy profitable.
The reason behind Air's inflated budget is super admirable through Artists Equity though

´´Now we’re getting word that another record-breaking test-screening occured yesterday and, shocker, the response was enthusiastic. This was said to be the Final Cut of the film and the scores were “through the roof,” again.´´
I´m honestly convinced WB is selling this movie wrong and following the mistakes Paramount made promoting D&D
Hoping the second trailer actually shows what´s so good about it, instead of just the huge scale of the action
I honestly think that first trailer showed a lot more than most teasers/first official trailers do. But yeah, more of the heart would be great.

I actually did hear their reasoning was "They're recasting everyone." Personally, I don't see why that matters. For years, people have seen movies regardless of weather or not there will be a sequel or not. But now everyone is more focused on "What's next?" than they are the actual movies.
Extremely hopeless that "another movie that means nothing" is code for "wraps up a story arc without shoehorning in major future universe plans" (barring late reshoots lol)

I think its going even higher than earlier prediction. Sunday's are slightly harder as I feel ratios will be higher. But the hold is crazy strong. I am thinking 28.5+ now.
That would put us above $90m, wouldn't it?

Glad to see the vibe in here is more hopeful than I was expecting after this teaser. I like the style and more vivid cinematography, but the glimpses at performances and humor were really bad to me. I love Brie Larson, but she continues to appear wooden in this role. Fun concept, though, but I don't see this doing very well at the B.O. based on this trailer.

Better than 22M but still not great. I was hoping for 28M+.
35M Friday?
Lol what? $26m would be a fantastic-18% Wed-Thurs decline for a huge new weekday opener

if the reaction at my screening last night was any indication, Air could have some good WOM.Co-sign. I thought the movie was great as well, probably my favorite of the year so far.

A bit surprised that Scream VI ended up dropping -50% this weekend. It's so good, I hope it can still hit a $110-115m domestic gross.

Majors have worked with some of the biggest studios and directors and actors in the game today. I am pretty sure if his behavior was a problem it would be well known. Y'all really need to stop believing everything you read on Twitter.
Harvey Weinstein has worked with some of the biggest directors, writers, and actors in the game today. I am pretty sure if his behavior had been a problem for so long, it would've been well known much earlier.
Woody Allen has worked with some of the biggest studios and producers and actors in the game today. I am pretty sure if his behavior had been a problem for so long, it would've come out publicly before it did.
Billy Cosby. Roman Polanski. Kevin Spacey. The list goes on and on. Maybe the exact reason people hold onto their personal stories of assault, abuse, and fear until one person is brave enough to break the ice and come forward is because of the exact victim-blaming mentality expressed in your comment, and hundreds of others I've seen online in the past 24 hours.

Awful what Majors has done. All we should be thinking about right now is that this woman is hopefully alright and, more importantly, safe. It seems ugly though - apparently she has a kid with Majors
